Is there a way to set up auto-subscription on threads you reply to?

I come from a forum (vb 3.6.2) that has that feature, and it is rather handy, as I can check my user CP to see if anybody replied instead of remembering all the threads I've posted in.

Is there an option for auto subscribe somewhere?

    yes there is.

    Go to your User CP.
    Click "edit options"
    Scroll to the section called "messaging and notification"
    Find the subsection called "default thread subscription mode"
    Change the setting shown to whatever preference you want.
