The mousepad looks like bootleg merchandice to me... you know? The kind that you find being sold right in the open in Middle-Eastern countries? Next to all the pirated and hacked games?

EDIT: Oh. I just read the description and it admits it's not official anyway. Oh well.

Ugghh. That picture on the far right is squished horizontally. WHY do people think that looks ok to release to the public??

Meh... nice idea but poor product. They would have been better (although I don't condone it) using the Purcell artwork.

Did you by any chance make these, and are now trying to sell them?

The mouse pad inparticular looks like it was thrown together in MS Paint. If you really want a Monkey Island mouse pad, I'm sure you can find some nice artwork and find a website that will custom print them for you.

These fanjobs are usually pretty low quality, if you're honestly looking to buy something like that and aren't just shamelessly plugging your eBay pages, then I'd recommend avoiding them.

Hm, the mousepad doesn't look too great indeed, with the distorted picture on the right hand side. I'd rather make my own design and have it printed on a mousepad at the local copy shop. :)

I wonder if TellTale and Lucas Arts has ill-tempered lawyers? :P

I'm never moving away from glass mousepads.

    Glass mousepads? *intrigued*

I miss the steel mousamats that used to be needed for optical mice.

I'd like to try to make a better design too, though I have little design experience and raster and vector imagery is a phantom to me.

I really hope he doesn't get sued though, he's just not that...insightful to be posting things like that on Ebay. I'd hate for his life to be ruined though because a company as successful as TTG wants to take way every penny he has and has saved up just because he's trying to sale amateurish designs on Ebay.

I hope he gets off easy. Just me though. Big companies suing little people is always so...I just don't like it, what's the point, why not just have it removed and issue a warning? What a dumb thing to do though and LOL whoever posted that Ebay link might have just ruined the poor fool's life.

Most of the time companies take legal action as otherwise they lose rights on said trademarks and things like that. Copyright law is very complex.

I'm not sure. It seems very easy to sue someone in the USA for big amount of money.. But I don't live over there, so I'm not really right person to speak about that.

Anyway, I don't think that either Lucas Arts or Telltale will ever waste any money or time to sue a single person who doesn't earn much bucks at all. A warning would be fine I guess. It doesn't really strengthen a company's rumour or image either, if they sue little people..

Isn't that more for trademarks, specifically names, such as "Kleenex"? I don't think there's actually a case where a person lost the rights to something like producing mousepads for an intellectual property you own. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that, though I've only seen it applied to unprotected names.

The law is kind of stupid in my opinion. It's like saying that if you don't lock your door at night, you deserve to have your house broken into. It just works to the detriment of everybody.

Now, in this case, a hack is obviously selling cheaply-produced merchandise to make a profit off a recent release. It's crap quality, I'm sure they know it, and I'm pretty sure they're less fans and more your common bootlegger. This reeks of a quick-cash bootlegging scheme.

Is there a root beer option? :P

My dad owns his own vending machines in his garage, pretty cool stuff. I love it, wouldn't mind owning one like yours myself.

    And more importantly:

    Grog classic
    Grog lite
    Grog XD
    Grog black cherry
    Grog with lemon
    Grog zero
    Diet grog

    and so on...

Isn't there a problem that the cans with the grog; and therefore also the machine, would be melten by the way? How is that solved? I could only imagine the cost of the material that must be used to enclose the liquid! :O

I think soda cans already have plastic lining to prevent corrosion...
