personaly i cant wait to hear delk's voice XD. hopefully murray comes out with some more classic lines this time around. and i wonder wht he is upto with that big pile of pirate booty?

Yes, I was a little worried they were going to do a very stylised Murray. While that would have fit the graphical style of Tales, for some reason Murray always seems more pathetic when he's just this kind of nondescript skull that doesn't look threatening in any way...

I already wrote it in the blog:
Murray might be a little too colourful. I remember him being plain grey.
But anyway. Glad he will be back.

That's what was bugging me about him. I couldn't put my finger on it, but you're right, it's the color. He was pale before. Ah well. I'm just glad he's finally back!

I think bone ages like that. Makes sence really.
Plus it might just be the lighting inside the you-know-what.

So is this confirmation that Murray has his own model and wont be using the fat or skinny pirate model? ;):p

    Murray just rocks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXKw2fA8zqw
I Really hope he can find that spirit, voice and overall feel of Murray

That reminds me, he better not be floating! Murray was just a skull in Curse, not some floating thing.

I think the yellow color is just the reflection of the gold coins next to him.

I am quite satisfied. Murray was much less colourful for me then in the preview.

Is it just me, or was anyone else bothered by Murrays lack of clicking. He did it some. Not enough.
  • edited October 2009
I was bothered by the clicking in the previous games. It gets annoying after a while.
  • edited October 2009
I think the clicking was represented in a desirable ratio.

I don't know how the brows on Murray's skull are able to bend shape for his expressions...

Dude. It's Murray. He's fiery evil burns so intense, it melts the structure of his own skull! (faint evil laughter heard from the distance)
  • edited October 2009
He can do that with his brows because he is a Demonic talking skull... not some random ordinary cranial remain.
  • edited October 2009
Plus without some facial animation he'd be kind of boring.

Am I the only one who finds it weird when Murray says Guybrush's name? Did Guybrush ever even tell him his name? In CMI murray just calls him "you".

Well, he did that already in "Curse".

@Mataku: He probably heard someone calling his name some time... or heard Guybrush introducing himself. I don't know where, though. Maybe at the Carnival of the Damned, when Guybrush (as a little boy) said: "Okay, for starters, I'm not a little boy. I'm Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate."

He may have also learned it in EMI, but I can't remember all of that conversation.

    Knock knock...

    Who's there??

    Me!! I kill you!!

Has anyone noticed the similarities between Murray and Jeff Dunham's Achmed the Dead Terrorist? (except for his body and non pirate-ness of course)
The are both unbelievably evil and undeniably dead, oh and they both love to laugh an evil laugh!

When you first meet him ever(!) in CMI, you can say something along the lines of "I'm Guybrush Threepwood, a Mighty Pirate!" Or, of course, you can simply say "Can I call you BOB?" I assumed that TTG figured you told him your name. Maybe you have to tell him later in one of the earlier games as well. I just might not be able to remember...

Ha, ha! :D In that case, I'm sure he'll call them Elaine and Morgan.

    Or Carla and Kate.
