"Looks like something went awry. Please try again in a minute."

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue also.

Whenever I try to login on any **new ** device with my Telltale account it always says "Looks like something went awry. Please try again in a minute". because of this kind of afraid of losing access on this device that is still signed in.

Tried logging in on multiple networks across multiple devices (Phone, Laptop, Desktop). Adblocker is off... privacy settings off...
Investigating network tab in Chrome I notice the following in the Network tab:
"Access to fetch at 'https://api.telltale.com/3/auth' from origin 'https://account.telltale.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled."
Tried Chrome on both Windows and Mobile along with Edge.

Has anyone here got any suggestions?

  • Make sure you visit the home page https://www.telltale.com (and allow it to load completely) directly before attempting to log in. Something about visiting that exact page fixes the problem. If you have bookmarked/favorited any page internal to the site, you have to visit the home page before you log in. This bug has been present since before the old Telltale shut down.

  • Incase anyone else has/had this issue, the fix was to contact Customer Service and they where able to fix whatever the issue was on there end. :)
