Free Game is just the Demo?

I apologize if this is rather late, but it's been a busy week and I didn't get to try out the demo as soon as I downloaded it last week. But when I went to try it out, it ends after the ship explodes.

I thought this was supposed to be the full first episode, what happened?

EDIT: Looking through threads I'm seeing people mentioning emails and the cart and stuff.. did I not do something I was supposed to the day I downloaded it? Does this mean I'm screwed? *sigh* I hope not, I was really looking forwards to this first episode.

    Did you download it from the http://playlikeapirate.com website?

    Click on "Your Games" (the joystick) up at the top of the TTG page (like this one!) and if Launch of the Screaming Narwhal is in your list, then you managed to successfully get the free full episode.

    When you launch it, make sure you log in with your username/password, or if that doesn't work, your serial number (available from "Your Games") or if that still fails, follow the Manual unlock process as described on the support page

    *sigh* I knew it was too good to be true. I must have just missed the actual download timeframe when I grabbed it, as the page simply links back to the main Monkey Island webpage which is what I saw when I thought I'd gotten it.

    I thought it was still going because when I grabbed it, the blog entry about downloading it free was still active and wasn't crossed out. I guess I'll just have to wait a few more months and save up to get it for reals. Oh well. Thanks for your assistence.

    That deal was only on for one day on the 19th. A week ago.

    If you were really looking forward to playing it, then why haven't you bought it yet?!?

    It was for only one day. If you missed out, then that's all there is to it. It said one day only, and you were given prior warning.

    When you eventually get the full season, you'll be amazed. The game just gets better and better!

    So chin up, be patient, and save up them pennies! :D
