This clam looked so different on my PC. Or is my mind playing tricks on me?
But it looks a lot like the Max-Clam in Moai Better Blues

It's when the camera changes just before Guybrush jumps on the anchor that the coral behind it makes it look like Max's ears from that angle

Not a reference, they'd be a little more blatant if they were putting in a Max reference than that.

In that case it's a fantastic coincidence making it even more noteworthy. HA! :p

If someone from Telltales could confirm it that'd be cool :)

it's not that much of a stretch. it's straight out of moai better blues, is it not?

Yeah that's what I thought (as well as the second poster...can't remember his name...German dude :) )

I didn't really notice that... but what about the S&M Night of the Raving Dead dance animation that both Guybrush and the Face-Duel Guy sported? *bleeping* hilarious :D

If the coral were of the same proportions and positioned properly I'd say it was a reference, the asset reuse is just the nature of Telltale though :p

Well to be fair they move as the camera moves, i'm still pretty certain myself, though I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't

Funny enough i also got that picture in my head, i dont know if its just because i really also wants some Sam & Max soon, when i think of the quality graphics but also gameplay how improved, man think what that could do if used in Season 3 of Sam & Max, TOMI is lightyears ahead on so many areas.
