What happened to the shadows?

I'm just wondering what happened to the realtime shadows from the trailer? Is there any way to enable them?

    Good question. I noticed they were mission. However I also noticed they were kind of jarring in the trailer. Made the game look less like the cartoon. So maybe it was a design desicion?

    Most likely, but I'm always on the lookout for some really good shadows. I don't know why though; I guess I'm just weird.

    Anyway, to this day the game with the best use of lighting and best quality/realistic shadows is Nocturne.
