Spinner Cay hint please

So I'm at the part were you have to stop McGilicutty and I can't figure out how I'm supposed to get a better mast, any vague hints?

    Does it have anything to do with the lumber on the beach?

    Try and stay away from those trees sitting on the beach. You won't find the answer there. Try going for a sail around the map.

    I figured out were it is now I just need a hint on how to move it...

    You don't need to move it, you just need to get it out of the ground. Anemone does the rest.
