Lawyers back in Ep. 4?

Do you think the lawyers from EFMI will be back at the trial of Guybrush? Not that they're the best characters ever, but it would just be appropiate and nice for the continuity of the series.

They could accuse Guybrush and GT could defend himself for comical dialogue options. Or maybe Stan could defend him.

I think that one returning character is enough, but I wouldn't mind seeing these lawyers return because they were good characters in my opinion.

They really wouldn't fit into the story that well. Their characters are dry and boring. Also, I think it would sort of bring back that theme of an economical Carribbean, a theme that caused many to despise Escape. I think even a reminder of that theme would interfere with the more serious toned story of this game. If they use Stan, that's fine, because his character is in pure Monkey Island humor and his role would actually be important and not forced upon.

He has the perfect personality for a lawyer as he is always trying to devise loopholes to fool people and just the way he talks and moves is sort of like a lawyer. The three lawyers are just dry characters who were pretty unlikable characters and really didn't seem to fit into the Monkey Island universe. This is only my opinion though, not speaking for anyone else, but I'm sure there are a few others who agree.

I hope it is, I thought they were awesome. That'd be real cool to see.

They're basically a different kind of lawyer.

There should be one more returning character, and that should be Stan. He NEEDS to be Guybrush's lawyer!

Out of all the characters to return, I hope it wouldn't be them. Pretty much everything on that entire island was devoid of humor.

I hope Stan is running a law firm...

It would make sense. weren't they their personal lawyers in EFMI?

I also thought they were really good characters.

On the one hand the 3 lawyers look alike, so they can share the same model. On the other hand, they are short and skinny, and Telltale doesn't have a model like that. So adding them would require a new model and that might be a bit too hard. Just saying.

I like those lawyers and a trail is the perfect moment to see them. They did seem a bit boring, but Telltale can find a way to make them comedy gold.

Would love to see this happen... afterall... juggle the letters in "used"....

Stan's Previously SUED Law Company :P

    Guybrush: "Err... previously sued?"
Stan: "Now's not the time to worry about technicalities, son. Now's the time to ask yourself "Will I get away with it alone?"

    :p

Well, if they are returning, they'll be the Guybrush's lawyers. After all, they represent the Marley family, so unless they're no longer the Marley family's lawyers, they'd HAVE to be on Guybrush's side.

i dunno if they would be guybrush's lawers too. plus they live on lucre island

im sure guybrush mentions some ice breathing lawyer at one point in chapter one . maybe he could be there LOL^^

ah wait it was an ice-breathing accountant

Lawyers travel too, you know. :)

They may have their office on Lucre Island, but that doesn't mean they never leave it. It's not like Guybrush and Elaine spend a lot of time on Melee Island - which is where THEY live.

I think so many people are now anticipating for Stan to be Guybrush's lawyer, that it would be a serious let down if he's not. I don't care either way since Telltale has proven by now that they know what makes a Monkey Island game a great one, perhaps one that will surpass Curse.

I'll be more disappointed if everything we anticipate comes true. I prefer a surprise over a "yup, as suspected". Getting the obvious is boring, surprises are fun.

Very true, but sometimes it can be satisfying to see your speculation to be true, especially if what's being speculated would only add to the story. It would be boring if all our speculations were true, but if one or two were right, I don't see a problem. There's no point to speculation if there wasn't the element of being right.

I'm reminded of Gomez in 1991's The Addams Family. "They say a man who represents himself has a fool for a client. Well, with God as my witness, I am that fool!"

I think it'd be appropriate to have Guybrush represent himself. Also, if Stan makes a cameo, it seems like it should be as a salesman. At least, that's what I think.

He could be selling lawyers. In true Stan fashion, he'd have a list of bloody amazing lawyers, all at an "affordable price"... which Guybrush can't afford. He can only afford the cheapest one: Stan himself.

maybe wally will be the judge and well finally persuade him to let us go.

All I know is Guybrush is gonna get it! Finally the notorious Pirate comes to justice! I say "Off with his HEAD!" that'll show him how much we really care. I do believe we will have a Cameo Judge though, maybe Largo, or someone else unsuspecting.

Denny Delk had spilled the beans on his Twitter (June 24) that he was doing Murray, Alexandra Boyd wrote about it on her blog (Feb. 19!), so ...

    let's find Patrick Pinney's, or Pat Fraley's blog/twitter/website!

Cool to see a stylized version of that quote made it into Ep 4. You're awesome, Telltale.
