Return of the Old Characters?

It's not a monkey Island game without Stan selling you some crap.

Would also kinda like to see Herman so I threw my vote his way, although it would be difficult to balance him with how his character has been messed up by EMI (No you are NOT Grampa Marley). I can agree he was basically a one note joke without much to him, but the fights between him and the cannibals back in SMI were great (if you read all the notes).

Otherwise I don't think anyone on that list is even worth mentioning or ever seeing again. As far as I'm concerned, Guybrush's crew was eaten by cannibals.

Somehow I don't think we will see Herman turn up, you know, seeing as he is
now Horatio Torquemeda Marley and was last seen promising to take over the job of governor of Melee Island.
It's kind of hard to write around that stuff and make him
    a mindless, annoying hermit again.

I know a lot of fans like to think EfMI never happened but I think Telltale would be smarter to just write around it and not directly reference it, rather than actually re-writing Monkey Island history and saying it never happened.

That's exactly how I perceived the first three episodes. No references to part 4 - and continuity breaks would probably only occur if Herman showed up...

Perhaps we could pretend Guybrush was in a Grog induced slumber for the entirety of Escape from Monkey Island?
    Nah but seriously.
I enjoyed Escape, infact it was the first I played! (I've since played them all)
    Perhaps it wasn't the greatest.
But it was still awesomely fun!

Come'on Stan as a lawyer? I see it coming I just don't know if he would even agree to help Guybrush out. I mean come'on? Buying a boat on stolen Credit? Nailing him in a coffin? and running a life insurance scam on him? I think he'd be more apt to TESTIFY AGAINST Guybrush more than anything:(

Couldn't he do both? And imagine the fun to be had in the cross-examination. His ability in SMI, to zip to the opposite site of the screen, could be used very effectively in that scene.

Remember, the next chapter is called the Trial *AND* execution of Guybrush Threepwood. Guybrush's defense isn't going to be doing him any favors.

Murray had his appearence, so i'm satisfied.
Let's look foreward to new horizons, not always back to old times.

I will be very surprised if Stan doesn't make an appearance before Tales is finished.

DeCava's journal (one of the treasure hunt prizes) shows a monkey in a very familiar hat...

I'd rather not see Herman again.

I'm quite sure Stan is going to show up before the end. And in TMI3, Guybrush started humming the Largo LaGrande theme, which seems to suggest he'll be back, probably in the last episode. I think it would be fun if Dinghy Dog comes back too, and he and Largo team up to do something sinister to restore their master LeChuck to his former evilness.

I don't know, I don't think there is a way you could re-introduce him into the Monkey Island universe without referenced EfMI. H.T., along with Monkey Kombat, really represented the apex of everything wrong with that game. He may have to take a bullet for the franchise in order for it to get past the failure that was EfMI.

They could write him in like that but it would be stupid. Then again his whole character is stupid!

Please, no Herman Toothrot. He was very funny in SMI, but after that he was really boring when they used him.

MI is just nothing without Stan. Surely he'll have some sort of business that Guybrush will have to exploit ;)

    Voted for Stan. But anyway...
I would love to see the men of low morale fiber (pirates) again! :D

They've been absent for quite a while now. Oh, and Wally would be nice, too! :)

edit: Oh yeah, and how about Mancomb Seepgood and Estefan? :D

    Largo LaGrande !!!

And Wally, The barber coast pirates, and I agree about low morale fiber pirates !!!

The best way they could've brought Largo in would be in Bugeye's place. LeChuck fed him to the manatee after the fortress blew up, and he quickly took leadership of the brotherhood (with Santino dead, Moose not interested in politics and Noogie a wimp it wouldn't really have been hard for him.)

I would like to see Mancomb Seepgood and Estefan again as well, especially if Guybrush and Elaine end up back on Melee Island.

I would also like to see the kid from CMI who sells cannons but a bit more grown up and the crew of the sea cucumber.

    Bob who worked for LeChuck

    Wally

But not all in one game, maybe if Tell Tales makes some more MI games.

MEN OF LOW MORAL FIBER. It's been too long, guys. Where are you?

    And Largo.

I'd be curious to see what alot of people are doing from mi2. Largo, Kate Capsize, wally and Men of Moral Fiber. That and the pirates from the barbery coast. I could care less about of alot of them from Monkey Island 4.
