to TT team: Suggestion for an Italian localization of TOMI

Hi TT!
You seems to have problems about localization in Italian:
- for S&M season 1 (PC) the localization is not quite good (biggest mistake: "cow" is translated as "crow"!).
- the S&M season 2 (PC) as yet to be localizated in Italian after 2 (!!!!) years from its release date!

Wallace and Gromit was fine :) Hope that you raised more money by selling it multilanguage!:p

Just wondering if you need a suggestion for the Italian localization of TOMI.
Here in Italy you may rely to Synthesis (www.synthesis.it), because they won several prizes for the quality of translations (and they translated titles like Bioshock and Deadspace - quality titles like yours!).

Just my two cents!
Bye

I don't think TTG even has the budget to add something like localised subtitles.

Only smaller almost indie sized game companies which don't run well known licences can afford something advanced like this.

Maybe there would be a way helping out with some camera angles. For instance the italian camera angle setting comes a little bit more from below.

    They do.

THE TRUTH. Don't rely to the company that made the S&M season 1 italian translation, for heaven's sake!!!

Italy is a pretty small market compared to the english speaking world, I doubt it would make much financial sense to do other languages at this time.

You already seem to know decent english though, so I'd suggest sticking with english, learning some more and then playing them in english.

They're not saying that it should be translated right this second and the fact that they haven't means that they'll never do it. They were just suggesting they get a different company to do it.

There's a good chance it will be subtitled in Italian eventually, since Sam & Max Season 1 and Season 2 were.

In the past, translation has been handled by an external publisher. Someone buys the right to publish the game in European stores, and then THEY pick a translator to localize the version. I don't believe we actually have any control over which translator gets hired. That said, I'm not really the one who handles these things, so I could be wrong!

Hurray! We just don't get enough of these topics! I demand an Latverian version of Tales! Mind you, we speak English, but with an evil German type accent you'd find in old World War II movies. This version would be the same as the original version, except only DOOM wins at the end.

At least it's not as bad as "All your base are belong to us" :).

Honestly guys, at the size TTG has reached nowadays it's pretty reasonable that you could expect proper subtitles in the usual languages out of the box. Just doing it for consoles were it's a must is a bit...
