Interesting symmetry (full of spoilers for Ch4, you have been warned)

So... am I the only one who noticed that Guybrush's and Morgan's presumably fatal wounds are basically identical, down to the weapon and location? It could be coincidence, but it looked like both of them took the jab and slowly died... or not, seeing how Morgan was gone by the time Guybrush made it back to the house of DeSinge. The aftermath of Guybrush getting stabbed and slowly expring in Elaine's hands was not shown, so I would presume that whatever happened that made Morgan survive/revive is going to happen to Guybrush as well - be it resurrection, or someone scavenging the body.

...as an afterthought, didn't Elaine inflict the very same wound to DeSinge? We saw how that went while there was still some Jus de Vie involved.

That's what I was thinking too. It's kind of like the Lost island, if you watch it, you know what I mean.

Don't forget it's also the same wound Guybrush gave to LeChuck at the beginning of Episode 1 with the cursed cutlass. Not sure if that has any significance, though.

It's also the same place Guybrush got stabbed in the "I Wonder What Happens" video.

    I noticed that too

Well Sam thought in S1 that hypnotism in every case was just a coincidence until the beginning of the last episode

I have to ask, where ELSE would they have these characters getting stabbed?

In the throat? In the heart? ...Too gory.

For a fatal cartoon cutlassing, it kind of HAS to be in the chest. Or decapitation, but that could also be a bit gruesome.

I'm not saying it's NOT linked, but on the other hand, it could just be technical reasons.

Re-using animation is cheaper than making new animations for the same action.

What, is that in the same way that three pies are more expensive than one? :P

But there was no animation involved in Morgan's death. I realize the dramatic and cost-saving similarity between Guybrush and LeChuck, and I think it was a nice Ironic Echo. But Morgan, we did not see. We practically found her dead. They literally could have had her stabbed anywhere.

I guess you're right, unless they're planning on using the animation in a flashback. =p

Well, if you can use the same apple for all three pies, then yes.

Very few other places are fatal like right in the gut where all the organs are. Also the proportions of the GIANT cutless and skinny waists and limbs makes it the only place it wouldn't really be ridiculous

This is my personal theory on what will happen. Spoiler-iffic of course to those who havent finished chapter 4.

Desinge said that he would use Elaine's Ju De Vie to mass pulverize everyone in the carribean. However when he himself was offed, did perhaps the healing mojo that he have spread to Guybrush and also make pretty much immune to death? We shall see.

I'm also curious as to what happened to Morgan. Though Desinge is always extremely suspicious he seemed to honestly deny having killed Morgan. IF that's the case then, who did? I would assume Lechuck, but he was also in prison at the time.

Soo..lots of questions to be answered come the 29th!

Guybrush even said "Unholy This" when he did it.
And it was the same sword (with the doll on the end of the blade)

And I wouldn't hope for the jus de vie. The wounds of De Singe were still quite fatal after his "jus" left him. And with the pox cured....

Oh. Maybe we will be getting to know what Elaine meant in episode 1 when she said: And now WE are going to die. AGAIN.
I don't think Elaine ever died in the games (okay she was declared to be dead but she was not really dead.)

Decapitation, would have been to final anyway... We all know at Least Guybrush is coming back, and Morgan has a good chance too.
