The majority of the forum loved it, unless that portion is a rather vocal minority. I'd probably attribute that label more to myself, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

The drama was...weak, and the scenes felt very much like "stock dramatic scenes". The writing around them seemed determine to undermine the weight of the scene by proclaiming that any ill consequences do not matter. Guybrush and Elaine's voice actors worked extremely well with the material they were given, I think they could really pull off an amazing dramatic scene if it ever came to that. The
    Elaine/Morgan swordfight
puzzle was also far better than the other swordfight puzzles, and it's actually showing Telltale is willing to grow a puzzle over several episodes. I like that.

Puzzle-wise, this episode had some amazing individual puzzles. The
    static puzzle
was great in the same way the idol puzzle in Secret was great. The map puzzle was just an ingenious set-up , and I loved the way it
forced you to think about space differently
. On the other hand, a lot of the puzzles in this episode required a lot of set-up to get going, so there is a lot of dragging. It makes the puzzles seem a bit "heavy" at the start, because it takes so much dialogue and exploration to get to the point where you can actually start solving real puzzles. A puzzle here or there to break the deluge of exposition really would have helped. They also pulled out the
hook as a key thing THREE TIMES
    .

Story-wise, the whole thing felt pretty exposition-heavy. They just felt like stock
Oh my god! S/he was ______ ALL ALONG!
scenes(though, to their credit, they had me
    fooled by human LeChuck
, the reveal just felt gaudy and overly cliche). Still, those can be set-ups to some really great writing in episode 5. If they deliver, that last complaint will be pretty much null and void.

Things I liked but didn't note above:
    -Stan's Coat
    -Stan's Voice
    -Stan's dialogue(seriously, good job)
    -The night sky is pretty

Things I did not like and didn't mention above:
    -
    No blood
    in the
    stab wounds
? Seriously? I can understand if you're pandering to a ratings board to get the financially viable rating. Still, if you can't include
the requisite blood for a stab wound
, then don't include one! For example, I think the Star Wars cartoon series was actually able to pull off a pretty good death by electrocution scene. Yes, it's the #1 stock "kid-appropriate" method of murder next to falling into a bottomless pit, but you can do a lot with music, camera angles, and the "acting" of the CGI models.
    -Ye Bay? Really?

It was my favorite episode thus far.
It had great puzzles, including the puzzle that got me stumped for the longest amount of time since the beginning of TOMI (the fourth course in the feast for the senses) - but also the one that got me stumped for the shortest amount of time (oddly enough, the fifth course, which I had pretty much guessed since the first time I
    exited Club 41
    after reading the recipe).
Loved the setting, loved the music, loved the trial and especially loved the unexpected twists in the story and the - dare I say flabbergasting? jaw-dropping?? mouth-"agapening"??? - awesome ending. Cliffhangers do not get any better!
    Superior job, Telltale!
Oh, I almost forgot... LOVED STAN!
