IMO each chapter was better then the last, so Trial and Execution was best and Screaming Narwhal worst.

Favourite: Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood.
Least favourite (but still loved): Launch of the Screaming Narwhal (for those jungle mazes)

Yes. It gotten better as the series goes on so I would have to say "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood was the best, and Screaming Narwhal was the weakest. (Though a pretty good game anyway)

Favorite: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood
Least Favorite: Lair of the Leviathan*

It took me awhile to arrive at this conclusion. After playing Lair of the Leviathan, I proclaimed it to be the best episode thus far, but as time went on, I actually began to prefer The Siege of Spinner Cay for its more open world feel. There were, after all, a number of islands to explore. Although, I never cared all that much for the Merfolk.

Of course, my newfound dislike for Lair of the Leviathan may also be psychological. Late September through early October were very bad for me, but I won't get into the gritty details. That sounds more like a doodo! post than one of mine.

*Hopefully Sean Vanaman doesn't beat the crap out of me.

Hard choice between Lair & Trial since they were both so good, but I went for Lair because the puzzles were so well put together.

Spinner Cay was terrible, so not much of a difficulty there.

I know the gritty details, and they are quite gritty.

I am going to take a wild guess... you are Keith Fleming on Facebook, right?

Also, to keep this on-topic, Flotsam Island at night for the win.

I cheated slightly. I can't really pick between 3 & 4. The farcical trial, the impending doom, versus Leviathan's roundedness (humour, character dev., etc. etc.).

Least favourite is probably spinner cay. The mermaid thing was interesting, and the map cutscene was hilarious, but it just didn't grab me like the other two. Plus, I kinda liked Nipperkin & Winslow and (despite the drawbacks and the failures like glassblowers etc.) I feel ep1 had enough good points to make it better than ep2 which wasn't necessarily bad at all, but lacked any kind of spark to it for me. I liked the camera-rocking as the city was bombarded, though; that came as close to LeChuck chasing me through Big Whoop's tunnels as i've felt in a long time.

    My sentiments exactly.
I have enjoyed every episode of the series and feel as though each episode has surpassed the previous one.
It may just be that as the plot unfolds that I'm getting further drawn in.
I have replayed the" trial and execution of Guybrush Threepwood" about 4 times looking for hints at every little graphical nuance.:D

I wonder how the hell chapter 5 is gonna beat chapter 4...

    You are correct.

Also, Flotsam does look great at night.

Episode 4 was excellent in every way. I don't remember the puzzles too much from Episode 1, but I remember not liking the jokes that much.

It can and it will. It always did in the previous games.

Well that's a little surprising for me to see trial getting a better score than lair. Not that it was bad, probably my 2nd best, but I found lair to be the most cohesive, funny and smart episode of the series by far.

Trial follows, with a very interesting storyline, but some puzzles seem to be really forced like they came out of nowhere. And also the humor is often a little off. Don't get me wrong I loved all the episodes, I just think the kind of writing behind Leviathan is where the direction of this game needs to be headed (for future seasons - I hope)

My faves so far is Ep 4 it was brilliant I love the night scenes.

My least fave was Ep 2 the merpeople just didnt fit into the world of MI for me.... they felt forced or something like they where left overs from Sam & Max...

Of course, I'm in the minority for supporting Siege of Spinner Cay. I felt the mer-people fit in nicely and I really enjoyed the locations for some reason. Launch of the Screaming Narwhal was my least favorite, though I might have some not-so-hidden resentment towards this chapter based on how bad I discovered the Wii version to be (compared to its PC counterpart). I also didn't care for the majority of the characters in that chapter.

    Fav: EP 4
Least: EP 3 (too short and very few places)

spinner cay was by far the worst

leviathan was the chapter that really gave the series life... perhaps because it came right after spinner cay...

To me, the episodes keep getting better as they release them :D

so my most favorite is ep4 and the least one would be ep1
but as a whole game so far, it is better than any of the old monkey games. They took what made the four previous games fantastic and they added in their own creativity. My only fear is how good will be the final?

Shame Ch2 doesn't get much love. I really liked that one with all those sexual references and gay jokes, merfolks (hey, what's wrong with them? for me they fit well into the world) and human LeChuck puzzle... Probably my second favorite just little behind Ch4.
