Tales of Monkey Island translation information & DVD

I read in a closed post that you are going to release TOMI for all sorts of languages. Great news!! Thank you very much Telltale!!!!!

Like many others, I made a pre-order to get the Collector's DVD. If the TOMI DVD had also these subtitles it would very good news. Please consider this option, we would be very grateful :p

Thank you very much, and great work!!

Hello all,

Telltale has been deluged with requests for translations of Tales of Monkey Island for all sorts of languages, and your requests are being heard. Currently we are concentrating on releasing the games on schedule, after the games are completed we hope to shift our attention to getting quality and accurate translations available for many languages.
Until then, we cannot legally support any other fan translations due to copyright and liability issues.
Please understand that we want these translations as badly as you do! We'd love to see our fans happy! However, there's only so many hours in a day, so translations (and porting to other consoles, for that matter) is on the agenda for after we complete the season.

Gracias!
Merci!
Danke!
Grazie!
Takk!
and thank you, for your patience.

I don't think Telltale would be amused about this. ;)

I have a lot of fun with the Telltale games and I even bought some Collectors stuff from the Store here, but I'm again being a little disappointed by this news. Why won't you put some effort in bringing TOMI to Xbox Live Arcade instead of making translations for people who just could learn English? Sidenote: English is not my main language neither, but I'm not whining about a translation.

I guess it will be coming to XBLA some time, but it just makes me sad that there's no information about that, while there is some info about stupid translations.

    Just my 2 cents though,

    An angry fan.

Woah, learning a foreign language is really that easy?

It's true! That's why the game should be made ORIGINALLY in Esperanto, and then everybody can "just learn" that!

 You can trasnslate TOMI easily in one week (in www.cuevadeclasicos.org they translated every chapter to spanish in a few days) but... do you know how many time, people and effort is needed to convert a game to XBOX? Is not the same...

I can understand and play the game in english, but since I was young, I have played Monkey Island games in Spanish, I am used to play them in Spanish and I think that subtitles release is a very great new. I'm very happy with this decision so please respect my thoughts and respect that I wish to play TOMI in my language.

I only say that if they are already going to publish subtitles they can include them in the collector's dvd.

    Telltale... ¡¡¡PRETTY-PLEASE!!!

Thank you and excuse me, english is not my foreign language and I'm trying to write correctly but surely I have made some mistakes :p

Uhhh... you do realize that Microsoft requires a game to be fully translated before it can even be released on XBLA, right?
