You don't think this could be concept art for chapter 5, do you? What with all the monkeys LeChuck has gathered?

    Wow! Some stunning concept art! There is a slight possibility that this could be related to the "Rise of the Pirate God" outcome.

    I sure hope so. It just wouldn't be Monkey Island without a bunch of monkeys running around.

    EDIT: Aw, dang. I just read the comments in the blog, and Purcell said that no, they are not for Tales.

    Naw, Purcell does art like this all the time, and it turns out that most of it isn't concept art.
    Which is a bummer. I would have liked to see this in the game.

    Why would they pay Steve Purcell to do all kinds of concept art when they already have Ryan Jones on staff?

    I'd love to see the rest of Ryan's MI concept art! The Club 41 piece which was the treasure hunting prize, the new Cemetery piece on the main page and the Flotsam Docks piece which was shown in Nintendo World are ALL incredibly awesome!

    Well, exactly! I would say it's pretty certain that this is Rise of the Pirate God art work - but is this guy involved in the TOMI team at all? :confused:

    Doesnt this all make sense for episode 5??? LeChuck goes back and collects all the monkeys he was collecting in the beginning, and creates this giant Monkey God!! The 3rd picture of the pampered woman is intriguing...Elaine???

    This definitely looks like Monkey Island movie concept art. Which makes me really sad that this movie never got made... I'm still hoping it will, one day...

    That giant monkey reminds me of EMI... and didn't the idea of the giant monkey robot come from a scrapped idea for SMI's ending? Maybe that picture is concept art from all the way back then? One of the skeletons does resemble Bob somewhat...

    And that is clearly Elaine, and the monkey in all the abandoned MI movie art.... and from the Cover of ToMI in the third picture...... Steve sure does love that lil guy.

    It's from the movie we're not supposed to know anything about and definitely never existed.
