Chapter 5 released on steam [nope]

They are kidding us right? Right? Tis' a bad joke isn't it?

I thought that telltale store customers were the first ones to get stuff. :confused:

    What? It's not on Steam. Did you notice it says "Buy the complete pack" and not "Buy Episode 5?" If you get the complete season on Steam, it works just like getting it from the Telltale store -- you get each episode when it's done.

    Given that we're doing the spit-shine pass on Episode 5 right now (therefore it is not done), I can assure you that Steam has not released it yet.

    We probably had a similar "steam thread" with every upcoming chapter of TOMI. Steam can be a little misleading here.

    The golden rule remains: As long as Telltale hasn't announced the official release on their website, it's not there yet.

    Aye, Steam puts those up early to drum up pre-order interest. Doesn't mean the game's actually out.

    I think here this was probably because Steam had it in their system that ep. 5 was being released in November, so the website automatically moved it across to the "New releases" tab on the last day of November.

    I agree with Estel, as otherwise it would have put something to the effect of it being a pre-order (although all 5 episodes are part of a pack which is partially available, which might complicate things).

    Got my hopes up too, even though TTG said it would not be released yet :rolleyes:

    *sigh* ok... I will accept gloopy green spit on my Chapter 5 download IF (and only if) a TTG person signs their name in it.

    Not necessarily. There were definitely some Steam-inspired Episode 5-6 threads in the Wallace and Gromit forum :p

    guys, ignore the new releases tab on Steam... I think it works automatically and Steam staff assumed the dates for Tales episodes before TellTale official announcements.

    If you are Steam owner (like me) you will see the game statue as "Not yet released"

    Here is a screenshot taken by me -at the time of this post- to clarify it for non-steam owners
