DVD credits

Can anyone from telltale give an approximate list of who will be on the credits, and if there will even be credits? I just want to know how close I will be for S&M S3.

Usually, people who have posted a lot on the forums and contributed to fan work and things like that get mentioned in the dvd credits.

Wasn't it just the top 100 posters?

Aye, "forum crew" on the DVD credits has been the top 100-150 (non-banned, non-malicious, non-troll, non-cheating) posters at the time the DVD is produced.

Wow! That'd be so cool... I've posted over 650 posts in the MI thread... Must... Break... 1,000! :D

DAmn i have to get posting now
  • edited December 2009
I actually didn't know this. Is there a way to see who the top 100-150 forum users are?
  • edited December 2009
Hmm...I've gotten 492 posts in the last month (my first was on Halloween) without leaving the Monkey Island board. I'd better keep it up.
  • edited December 2009
I've probably posted 90% of what my post count is in the Monkey Island forum. And yet I still have a life. Amazing.
  • edited December 2009
You keep claiming you have a life. Is there something that you're hiding from the class?

It's all about quality, not quantity I'm sure.

It's actually not, at all. When it comes to the DVD credits, anyway. People like me are rewarded for wasting our time.

Yeah but as Jake said, there's a lot of "non-"s in his list. If people post for the sake of posting, and all they post is crap and not relevant, then it can get you banned, and thus out of the credits :)

If you've been a regular contributor to the forums (as you have been, Rather Dashing), then you're in with a chance :)

I think I've managed to get into the S&M Season 2 and SBCG4AP DVD credits. Didn't post enough before S&M Season 1 to make it :)

I post less and less nowadays as I always leave the forums when a new episode comes out until I have time to complete it (to avoid spoilers) and also due to the fact to the prolificness, er, proflicity, um, large amounts of random, off topic threads, or people making pointless petitions, or demanding an early (late) release of the next episode, or not being able to understand that California has a different timezone to other parts of the world, or asking the same old tired questions that have been answered in the support FAQ or in forum threads all the time....

OK, rant over :) If I don't end up in the forum crew for the ToMI DVD, I don't mind :)

Wow that's alot of posting you've done lol
  • edited December 2009
I don't think I'm going to make it.... unless for some reason I seriously step up my posting this time. I'm with Molokov though, I usually avoid the forums until I've finished the previous episode, just to avoid as many spoilers as I can.
  • edited December 2009
I don't really think I post all that much but I'm surprised at my post number because I don't usually get that much posts in that amount of time (back when Trial and Execution was released) on other forums. :|

huh, I did not know this...wish I did earlier in the year, then I could have just not gone to Uni.:p

It definitely should be. Guys like Silverwolf Pet deserve to be on the credits, where as people who are just spamming up the forums to get a high post count (not saying you are :p) haven't really done anything besides.. as you said, waste your time.

Do I count as a backstabbing pirate?

So... again, there's no list I can look at to see who the top posters are (before the DVD)?
  • edited December 2009
i just wanted to know really what the approx. post count was that was the 100th highest. But i dont really care if im not on the dvd, because you can hardly see it anyway. Or maybe i just dont pay attentiuon.

    Darn, that excludes me.

    Wait DVD credits?

So it changes the credits at the end of each episode, or is it something on the disc?

I will not become a postmonkey to get in the DVD credits.
