Is that a Pittsburgh Penguin?! If so, I am immensely less freaked out.
  • edited December 2009
no... it's just a really big penguin that would not fit into the basket with the other 30 penguin plushies.

    I LIKE PENGUINS DAMN IT

Just curious. Do you have some super rare autographed trampoline by your door so you can jump over all the stuff on your floor?
  • edited December 2009
No... but I had a toaster signed by Jack Black.

Also.. the stuff on the floor is unimportant.

Except for the Kraken costume that's in a bag.

Here ya go. I couldn't get a shot without glare, so I stuck the box on my scanner. Click for higher resolution.

    My LucasArts games:
    mygames1.jpg

    My Telltale games and swag:
    mygames4.jpg
(I included my copy of the original Surfin' the Highway collection just because. I also have the Sam and Max cartoon DVD set and the old VHS tapes. I'm starting to realize how sort of impressive my personal Sam and Max collection is now, and now I'm kicking myself for having been too cheap to get the hardcover version of Telltale's Surfin' the Highway reprint.)

    Other adventure games I have:
    mygames3.jpg
(My older brother had all of the old Sierra games when we were growing up. I just have the recent cheap-o King's Quest and Space Quest collections. And Callahan's Crosstime Saloon is a brilliant, underrated, little known, and hard to find adventure game designed by Josh Mandel of Sierra fame. I was lucky enough to find a used copy at a local video rental store a couple of years ago.)

    Infocom:
    mygames2.jpg
(A birthday present from the aforementioned brother. An original 5.25" floppy disk IBM copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy text adventure in the original box with all the feelies included.)

Oh, and, uh, speaking of Douglas Adams-related adventure games, I also have Starship Titanic, which is really isn't that great a game at all. But here it is:

    Sporkman?

    I envy you.

At least you'll probably envy my two copies of hardcover Surfin' the Highway on top of my paperback copy, but still.

Here's MI 1 through 4, and Grim Fandango. They're all complete with codewheels, magazines, etc. I bought TSOMI on eBay, the rest (including LR) I all bought when they came out.
    migames.jpg

    More LEC games:
    othergames.jpg

Both Sam & Max seasons (including casefiles etc.), Surfin' the Highway, and two LEC games for the 360.

MI buttons on my laptop bag:
    mibuttons.jpg

    The Rogue Leaders book:
    rogueleaders.jpg

Framed Fate of Atlantis poster in my kitchen:
    fateposter.jpg

Framed Secret of Monkey Island poster over my living room couch. One day I'll take this to some convention where Ron Gilbert is, and I'll get him to sign it.
    miposter.jpg

Framed and signed Tales of Monkey Island print. I still need to put this up somewhere.
    miprint.jpg

    Stuff I forgot/couldn't photograph:
    - Dark Forces (they only sold the jewel case version here, so it's between all my CD-ROMS rather than among the big boxes, and I forgot to picture it.)
    - Max crossbones and Guybrush evolution t-shirts (laundry)
    - Digital stuff (Tales, MI:SE)

I tragically don't have any of the boxes for the old point 'n clicks, but I have all the original 5 1/2'' floppies for a lot of them, spinner wheels, etc.

My favorite thing is a Secret of Monkey Island shirt from back when it originally came out (not one of the SE shirts). I'll try to get a picture of it.

If I'm ever feeling motivated (I mean, really motivated) I'll dig out all my old game boxes and collectibles and things and photograph them, but probably won't happen any time soon.

Curse of Monkey Island. I found it for sale at Sams when I was a kid. I wanted it because it looked like a Kings Quest type of game... then it didn't work on my computer. I was so pissed... but then I found out it was just some type of easy compatibility issue. Had it fixed in seconds and was playing Curse & Monkey Madness constantly ever since. I'm still pathetically hooked on the entire series.

    Most of my treasures are stored in boxes scattered throughout the house. I'll update the thread as I stumble across stuff. Here's a starter though;

5.25" "IBM" floppy version of Indy Jones & the Fate of Atlantis (plus a couple of CD Rom talkies and the CD version Quickstart Card and Manual that are stored in the same box).

    DSC02863.jpg

These are pretty new (were released 2 or 3 years back), but are uncommon outside of New Zealand and Australia. The UK also had a near identical release with minor packaging changes. I also have Sam & Max Hit The Road and Jedi Knight / MoTS in this format.

    DSC02864.jpg

    More to follow, sometime...

Tragically, I didn't get involved in LEC until about 1997, so I've had to grab most of my collection at garage sales and eBay. Consequently, I've only got the boxes for Full Throttle and Hit the Road. I also somehow picked up two issues of The Adventurer, which are pretty fun to flip through.
The latest addition to my set is Loom (top left), which I'm super excited to finally get to play!

Whoa, at least your Full Throttle package is the limited "landscape" edition. :)
