Huge Bug in Chapter 4 - Wii version

Okay, sometimes when entering Flotsam Docks, usually when exiting De Singe's lab, the game and my Wii both freeze up and there's this noise that also comes through the speakers I think. Pressing the power and reset buttons does nothing and I have to unplug my Wii in order to get it to restart.

What's causing this and can anything be done about it?

It happened to me once, when coming from the jungle.
It sometimes happens to me with other games, too.

In the future, when your Wii (or just about any other electronic device, for that matter) locks up that way, it's better to turn it off by holding the power button for five seconds than to unplug it.

Is the noise a really loud "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH" noise? I found that happened in both the wiiware chapters i had (1/2).

But in future, just hold down the power button. Yanking out the cable whilst the power is on can cause damage to your system.

It's what I did, by the way.
I won't say it's a "buuuuuh" noise, I don't think that's the right onomatopoeia. I can't think on a proper onomatopoeia, though. To me, it's a sharp, high pitched screech.
Besides ToMI chapter 4, it happened to me on Homestar Ruiner (race course when in extended play), in Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (I don't remember when exactly), in some other games I actually don't remember at all
and in many games obtained in a not-quite-legal manner

It's happened to me in Red Steel as well. I think it's a flaw in the system as a whole.
