As far as Guybrush, Elaine, Morgan, Lechuck, Stan and the Voodoo Lady look, I think they look great just the way they are, thought I could see changing Guybrush's look a little just because his look is forever changing throughout the series.
I've heard a lot of people complain about reused character models in Chapter 1 of TMI, but I really didn't notice it outright while playing. Which characters would you guys say were copies of each other? (Meanwhile, I think I'm gonna play chapter 1 again to check.)

Off the top of my head, Nipperkin, D'oro and Winslow all seem to share the same base model.
Because Bugeye, for example, I sorta meant to be the strong, tough guy, but his arms are as skinny as every else's - I'm just saying that it would suit his character more if he were to have a little more muscle.
The thing with Bugeye is that besides having a gruesome look of a troublemaker, he's actually more of a coward. I agree that it would look amuzing to macho him up and make him talk like some kind of back alley Rambo spin off with a bit of captain Sparrow, it's just funny when he's plain Sparrow all over the place.
The first time I saw Bugeye when I played Lair I said to myself - this guy will get his ass whipped at the end of the episode, I'm pretty sure about that.
But once again, beefing him up could be funny in a certain way.
I also liked Morgan's development, but again that's just my opinion. But if she comes back I certainly don't want to see any kind of love triangle nonsense going on, I'd hope that if she returns then she'd have accepted that she's not got a chance with Guybrush anyway. (plus there's the whole ghost thing)
As per me, I'd have really liked to see Morgan retake the same role in the next adventure. I doubt she's a ghost anymore since there was an aftercredit sequence in the end of Rise, for those who waited for it, when she trades LeChuck's remains to the Voodoo Lady to get her body back. To me it's a pretty obvious nod to the fact that she will return.
Honestly, I didn't percieve Morgan as much of a character during the whole game. She was an obvious through erroneous Lara Croft-kinda calque in the pirate world, but I like the fact that just like Guybrush, she's a bit clumsy with her decisions at the end. Though Morgan would seem ruthless and treacherous, she is either too good in that, or obviously not good enough to always be pushed around by others. While having to personal gain from it.
In all, my guess is that Morgan is one of the good ones. She has a role to play, that of a little pirate hunter trying to become big, and always having this spunky attitude toward anyone but Guybrush, but in fact it makes her more adorable than dangerous. I sure hope she would return to try to claim Guybrush for herself once more, with some kind of goofy plan that wouldn't work at the end, but is worth a try. She would eventually find a guy for her, but let her just show that cutsey side some more, before they move on.

And for the tall guys, I think the one who welcomes you on the beach, the one who has a cat and the glassblower are the same model too.
