The Origins of the Mysterious Club 41
Perhaps...have to do with this?
The old properitor (Disney) died, just like Club 41's former owner. Apparently nobody also knows where Club 33's name came from.

I like it. Sort of like Pi Approximation Day.
In a row?
I don't get it...
That's half of it, definitely. Good catch.
But the number 41 is significant, and not just because of its proximity to 42.
Somewhat surprised that no one's thought of it yet,
Mike
Did I win something?
(Incidentally, there used to be a "Club 22" near here)
Well, THAT was quick.
Some mysteries are simpler than others,

That's how old you were when you wrote the episode?
That's the number of theories people have come up with for what the "secret" is?
It's the percentage of fans who can sing "I've Got a Monkey in my Pocket" backwards? (It does have a pretty devoted fanbase ...)
Actually, I was 41 when I came up with it... odd that.
Mike
Weird.
I was hoping it didn't mean you were a big Sum 41 fan. That would have been ... unfortunate.
It's an association of former members of the Round Table which is some kind of political service club. Couldn't find an English description but for anyone who's able to speak German:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_Table
http://www.club41.at/
Also, it's politically and confessionally neutral, i.e. it's a non-political, non-religious service club.
Usually, they're doing all kinds of stuff to raise money for charity - at least that's what a friend of mine did who was a member of RT15 IIRC...
Club 41 is their organisation for retired members, since Round Table members have to be between 18 and 40 years old - hence the "41" in it's name.
Here you go - just click on the "English" link on the left on the German wikipedia page you linked to...
