I was looking on Ebay for anything Monkey Island and i noticed a few people are using Telltales designs and selling them,(im guessing without permission)i thought this was illegal due to copyright,so this is kind of a heads up for the Telltales Crew....theres a logo of Tales of Monkey Island and a guybrush design

:eek: They stole your poster! I mean, I guess you could be a little proud, but you should be mostly outraged. They've just taken something that you worked very hard on, without permission, and stuck it on a shirt, are selling it and making money at the expense of Telltale by using a copyrighted logo and blatantly stolen artwork, and they're getting away with it!

I have seen my fanart used for things here and there I do not really care because I do not own any of the rights to the characters... If it was something I had created entirely myself I would be annoyed.... Every once in a while someone actually asks to use my art in an online article or something that is when I feel honored ..

What some people won't do for money... I'm really sorry to see this. The best thing I can do is to order a T-Shirt from TTG with the Monkey Island logo. Which I did. At least we won't support the stupid-stealing-ebayers.

That is one thing... BUT stealing a fanart and making a T-Shirt out of it, then selling it... man, that's just low. Honestly. It's a beautiful fanart piece and I was shocked when I saw it being used like that, without approval from anybody.

The only thing I have to add is that stealing a piece of official art is equally as vicious of a theft. We care about the fanart one because we know how much heart was poured into it, but this is telltale, as much heart was poured into the art THEY made, and it's just as illegal to steal THAT.

Either way it infuriates me, taking someone else work, pasting it on some shirt and selling it for profit. Probably didn't take them much time at all and I bet it will sell.
