OK ... everyone needs to try having dancing Guybrush (single or in chorus) on their screen while listening to this song:

    The rhythm is almost PERFECT!

    :D
    Wow!

@Tpravetz: That looks like one ODD game of chess...

That little gif is THE best christmas present I've gotten in years!

Congrats Tpravetz! Someone at TellTale thought your checkered post was tweet worthy! :D haha

As much as I love the :guybrush:, it does make me sad that I have lost my hold on the title of "PERSON WHO CAME UP WITH THE IDEA FOR THE ONLY NON-GENERIC SMILEY IN THE TTG FORUMS". :)

:guybrush: is nice but :winslow: is better. Then again I am biased seeing as only one of them was my idea. :p

You apparently never saw the :jumptoconclusions: smiley which ended up going away due to overuse. Which is too bad, because in the right places it was actually very funny. I like these Winslow and Guybrush.

How do you make those custom smileys, anyway? I mean, how does :guybrush: turn into :guybrush: when I type :guybrush:?

When I say it was my idea I'm referring to the animation. Making it a smiley was all Jake. :D

Also self-advertisement is fun! Just ask Cobb™!

@MaxFan: No, no I did not, but I know exactly where it comes from. Was the smiley actually that full image?? And at the time that :winslow: was added to the list it was the only non-generic smiley in the forums. ;)

@monkey - yep, you'd get the mat with the macro. But it did start getting overused, and at some point went away because of that.

Who seriously came up with that dance anyways? Just curious.

    Guybrush.

I can imagine him thinking 'How did he make THAT happen ingame?'
  • edited December 2009

No no no, I know that. I'm wondering who, like... came up with it. Like the moves.

Hate to cut into the festive mood of this thread -- really, I do! :( -- but ... what's with the frame-rate on Guybrush's smiley when viewed in Safari (OS X version)? It's like he's dancing in slow-mo. It's fine again when I switch back to Firefox. Hmm. Is anyone else seeing this?

The animated gif format is not exactly known for consistent framerates across browsers...

Ah, I see. Well, at least I learned something new today! Thanks.
