When I saw Stan in Chapter 4, it reminded me of Gankutsuou (an anime adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo from several years ago). In that show, the characters’ clothes and hair were mostly covered with crazy patterns using the same effect as Stan’s jacket.
It had been quite a while since I played the earlier games so I’d forgotten about how the pattern on Stan’s jacket behaved. It amused me to think that Stan already had clothes like that so many years ago!
"His trademark is his checkered jacket whose pattern stays at the same place (in reference to the background) while he moves. Originally this was due to technical limitations but it has been continued in later games and has been a source of in-game jokes as well as a running gag."

Oh, it's the best.
...wait, what?
How in the world are you meant to describe that Stan's Jacket effect in real words without sounding horribly backward and idiotic?
And I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone use the word "stagnant" and not mentions a pond. 10 points to Rather Dashing.
-50 points to me for being a jerk about it.
that is a cool shirt.
Brownie points for honesty!
Telltale, make it happen!;)
I doubt the product itself is fake; the picture was probably just of a plain tank top with the patter superimposed over it to save time and money.
Haha-- good trade. Three foot pseudo-sombrero for three one foot pseudo-sombreros. Much easier to match that way, multiple options and all.

That's how, apparently.
