Sam & Max language problem on Steam

I wanted to play Sam & Max in German, so I downloaded Abe Lincoln Must Die! from Steam. But when I try to set the language to German via the game properties, nothing happens, and the game still runs in English. Nothing happens if I try setting the language to Italian or French, either.

As far as I can tell, the German language files were supposed to start downloading when I changed the language, but they're not. I tried switching the language on another Steam game (Audiosurf), and it downloaded fine.

Or should I be asking Steam about this?

    Yes, take it up with Steam support.

    You could just try deleting your game cache and redownloading the whole thing. Sorta purge the system and force it.

    I tried that and it didn't work, but thanks anyway. I'll contact Steam about it.
