I've lost my Sam n Max Season 1 disk! :(

Hi all,

Ok so back when it was first released I literally fell over my keyboard to buy it, having got the whole season I got Season 2, and the bonus disks for each season....

I truely loved playing them and still do play them from time to time. This year i thought I'd play season 1 thorught again, it being over a year since I'd played it, and missing terribly the antic's of our favourite Dog nRabbit team. Alas, I experianced a disaster akin to a "marginally volatile hostage situation" (ohh, retro reference!)

My Sam and Max Season 1 disk is missing, awol, gone!

Curses!

So, my question...

Whats the best way to get a new copy of the Sam n Max season1 disk?? I know its for sale for 30 bucks, but I already own season 1, albeit download only now :( It seems a lot ot pay!

Telltale, can you sent a replacement disk, for a nominal fee?? I can happily supply my order numbers ect....

Alternativly, I notice you have Season 1 on offer for a remarkable $5!!! If I purchased this, would I be eligable for a free (+ shipping) copy of the disk, as per the usual deal (buy the season get a game disk free)???

If I am able to get a free disk I'd happily pay the $5! So if this is a valid option please let me know!!!

(I know we're only talking 30 bucks here, but times are hard for me over here in the UK, yesterday I actually brought some rancid "Reduced to clear" meat from Bosco, and have purchased a rabbit in the hope of starting my own detective agency!)

    Ehm, since you already bought season 1, can't you get a disk send again for just the shipping cost without buying it again (unless you want to sponsor TTG of course)...

    Nope, 1 per order....

    Otherwise people would be re-ordering copy after copy and selling on ebay wouldn't they!

    FYI, I did try entering my order number and it reports "Invalid Number", which I guess is the system saying "You've already had one, ya monkfish!"

    Thats what I was on about at the end of my first post, but the offer clearly says its $4.95 for the 6 downloadable episodes, however its not clear if that offer includes the free disk included with a normal season purchase.

    Guess I'll hit TellTale's support email, as soon as they wake up and get there coffee in em :D

    This would truly be a first for telltale as I've even used episodes redeemed for free in the past to then upgrade to a full season. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't give you the disc.

    In edition, just for the sake of a test, I added the offer to my cart, via samandmax2010.com, sure enought it was listed as:

    Sam & Max Season One
    Six downloadable episodes, just for you!
    $29.95 + -$25 discount

    I then went and added the season via the regular store, and I got in my cart:

    Sam & Max Season One + Bonus Disc
    Six downloadable episodes, plus a DVD containing the games and video content.
    $29.95 (no discount)

    Clearly different products as far as the stores concerned, no mention of a disk with the offer, plus the disk is clearly described in the title and description if added to cart via the regular store...

    Didn't they do summin like this with Strong Bad??

    I'm sure once I chat to someone from TellTale they'll help though. They've always been uber-helpful in the past! We love Telltale and they love us!!

    Once I get clarification I'll post with what I discover too :)

    I had a similar problem: I had purchased a local (German) copy of "S&M Season 1" some years ago already. But that DVD does not contain the bonus materials. So I thought I just buy the "special offer" and get the DVD for $4.95.

    The good news is that I could order the DVD for free using the "Order ID" from the special offer. - So your plan to get a cheap replacement DVD would have worked.

    The bad news is that the shipping fee to Germany is almost $17!!! :(

    I have now contacted the TTG support if they could just add that S&M DVD to my (back-ordered) W&G DVD, so I do not have to pay shipping fee twice. - I hope that works...

    I can tell you what their reccomendation would be as I've been in a similar situation. First cancel the order that has the pre-ordered DVD in it and then do a new order with both.

    Btw, what is the deal with this website? Isn't there already a website simply named "samandmax" at TTG, then why the 2010? It's not like it talks about the third season, right?

    I would contact support and ask them to cancel it, shouldn't be an issue considering it hasn't shipped yet.
