Tmi dvd

I'm sure this had been asked before but i couldn't find a thread with it (not saying much i you know how i look for things). I was just wondering whether telltale would release TMI on a dvd for commercial sale i.e physical copy at various gaming stores, or whether it was just released via download. I ask as i am always quite reluctant to buy things over the internet if i just download it. I prefer to have a disc on my shelf next to my other disc collecting dust just in case.

It's too bad you didn't pre-order at the start of the season. Then you would've gotten the DVD free by the end of the season anyway. I take it you weren't aware of this offer?

Actually, you are still eligible for the DVD as long as you've bought it from Telltale. Its the limited edition Steve Purcell hand-painted cover that he would miss out on.

Yeah, I guess so. But you still have to pay shipping costs (only a fraction of the purchase price). Just be sure to get your shipping address right when ordering it, I'm pretty sure you're capable with that :D.

Actually, you don't even have to get your shipping address right the first time, since I'm pretty sure they'll make you confirm it when the DVD is up for order. :)

True. It says here: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14643 that you can change your shipping address when you order your free DVD copy.

I'm sure Telltale has a timeline in-house by which they have set a date, whether general or specific, for when they plan on trying to get ToMI out by in hardcopy. I just wish they could tell us when that was, even if they did end up saying "oh wait, we need a couple more months to get all the cool stuff you wanted on it." I still would like some sort of time frame to look forward to.

I'm sure if the dvd is out you'll get an email AND it will be on the site AND in the forum AND when you sleep at night, telltale will send a nightmare to you which says: "The DVD is out!! Come and get it! COME AND GET IT! NOWWWW!!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DUMBA**!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

edit: danke schon? .... kein problem, es war mir ein vergnügen!!

im aware on the Telltale Store regarding purchasing the ToMI fro 34.95 USD, the DVD not out yet, so when i input those information plus the credit card info then click the final button to purchase the product, the amount will be deducted when u got ur credit card billing, while the DVD still not release, what if you haven't got the copy when released?

i think i wait the announcement first when it's already released, i just then purchase the copy on their site that on that day :)

If you bought the season from Telltale, then you'll be able to order the DVD for just the cost of shipping when it's available.

What's in the store right now are the downloadable episodes, which you can buy now, download now, and play now.

No announcement has been made about the game being released to retailers, so as of right now it will only be available through the Telltale store.

Considering the fact that at least DVD versions of both seasons of Sam & Max are widely available in retail stores, I would assume that also Tales DVD will be available in other stores too.

Then again I ordered both Sam & Max seasons DVD's directly from TTG, because thanks to the exchange rate between Euro and Dollar it was actually cheper to order games from California than from my home city (I don't go to gamestores these days, but I order everything to home, because for some odd reason on-line stores often have wider selection of adventure games, while stores on the mall mostly just have console games etc.).

And while some may hesitate to buy downloadable version I don't see any downsides in Tales deal which gives both direct download and DVD (you only have to pay the cost of shipping once it is available). I pre-ordered Tales and now I have already completed the game and I plan to replay it when I get my collector's DVD

And while some may hesitate to buy downloadable version [...]

Explain why this is. I don't understand the need for apprehension when downloading TTG's games from the net.
