Regarding the chest that the deluxe edition comes in

Anyone have any clue what exactly it is going to be made out of or how big it will be? To be honest, this is the decision maker for me on whether or not I get the regular DVD or the deluxe edition.

I think that chest is just for fun... and not actually something you are getting... I mean its an obvious drawing..... If you do not actually get a cartoon chest to put your things in I suggest you call Bob Hoskins and Rodger Rabbit they have experience resolving cartoon related crimes.

I don't think you want the monthly present that goes along with it.

I'm pretty sure surgery can provide the former without the latter.

    Confirmed.
It is uncertain whether we will find his stash before shipping time, so consider the Deluxe version box-less until further notice.

Actually, I took them. I have some spares in my underwater city. Stop by the Circus of Value in Apollo Square. Oh, and mind the Big Daddies, would you kindly?

Even though I made this thread, just thinking about getting a chest made me want one even more. I went on ebay but all the chests either suck or cost thousands of dollars. :(

There are lots of great chests on the internet, although possibly not quite the kind of thing you're thinking about....

As far as I know it's a chest shaped box, made of cardboard. I haven't seen the actual product so I don't know for sure, sorry.

Someone should find a small, cheap, wooden pirate-looking chest. I've seen a few meant to hold jewelry, so it's not really that illogical. A really small replica could both hold the Deluxe Edition feelies and not be that expensive. The $100-300 wooden chests would be far too large, anyway.

My guess is that they have graphic art of a treasure chest in a computer somewhere, but nothing finalized. I doubt they've started production yet, but they have either the art or the prototypes in the office. I think that they'd get comfortable with the first test-run products before announcing them, but I don't really know.

This, however, isn't one of them. *barfs*

Haha it's one of those things that is in flux. I asked about it and in the next few days we'll be confirming whether or not it will appear in the Deluxe set.
