I now saw, that it is possible to preorder the DVD! Huzza! and also in an execlusive Deluxe Edition! Huzza^2!
But then i asked myself "there had been Soundtrack-CDs for both sam and max seasons, will there also be one for TOMI?"

Well are there plans to make one? Or is it safe to me to just order now?

There's been no word one way or another from the powers that be. Keep your fingers crossed!

I really, really hope so. Michael Lands soundtrack for Tales was utterly brilliant!

If not, can someone make some album artwork, because I ripped the tracks from the episodes for just such an emergency!

All joking aside, while only the opening and LeChuck's themes were catchy, I thought the music was well done.

If I was pushed, I would really say Secret had the worst soundtrack! Even though it introduced the staple songs for Monkey Island and LeChucks theme, there's just too few content to work with. Tales had a good soundtrack, plenty of stand out themes, just let down by the fact that it was all MIDI based and tracks were all short and looped quickly.

SMI had some weak themes but overall I think it was fantastic musically. Tales had some really great songs too, but it also had limitations like you pointed out.

In my opinion, the best soundtrack so far has been that of CMI.

Honestly, I really like the Tales soundtrack! It might not be on par with MI2, but it does have some really catchy melodies - the Flotsam town / Flotsam jungle variations for example are really nice. Also the themes of DeSinge, the court room and most definately the DeCava / Roe Island theme are quite amazing.

I never found the soundtrack of CMI to be that memorable, actually, even though it was very atmospheric of course. But there's just no theme that really got stuck in my head.

You guys will just love everything telltale does, even if its terrible

"Terrible" seems fairly harsh for what it is. Nothing about it was non-functional. I think it was too limited to feel great, and I personally don't feel like I need to own it. The soundtrack is good, and in places can be great, but overall I just don't feel a need to own it.

I dont like the mug or the t-shirt of new bages but I do love the soundtrack and have wanted to own it since finishing chap 4

The music was good. It created a nice atmosphere for each scene in the game without being intrusive. Not sure it would work on its own, though. Take the Spinner Cay music. It was awesome, and made the whole place feel very mysterious, but I never realised it was only a minute loop. I think I would notice this if it were on CD.

Also, I don't see why one has to dislike something telltale has done in order to validate one's liking of something else they've done?

    Pretty much my feeling encapsulated.

I really just want it for three or four songs.

I also want it so I can actually own a damn Monkey Island soundtrack! There hasn't been an official release at all and with all the work Land has put into the series, I'd like to at least own a CD of it!

You have to admit the LeChuck Revenge Special edition website music alone is better than the entire Tales soundtrack.
Tales music shouldn't even be referred to as a "soundtrack"
