Just curious for when I do get the game up and running, can you still find these things in game, or are you now forced to buy them in the store if you want them? Either way I don't think I'll buy anything extra. I like upgrading the slow and painful way.

The only things that do not drop that are in the store are the Rocket Jumper (unless I'm wrong), crate keys, and the Secret Saxton (gift a random person a random item) gifts. The black and white paints only come from the crates as well. Everything else is able to be found while playing though.

Rocket Jumper is such an amazing item, too bad it's buy only.
The rocket jumper is actualy somewhat dumb. I mean it can only rocket jump you, it does NO DAMAGE to you, or your enimies. I dont get it, then you only have a shotgun and melee weapon, and the soldier's biggest thing is the bazooka, so the rocket jumper is a bit wierd. Also you are an idiot if you equip the rocket jumper AND the gunboats for obvious reasons.
Also for crates, what I do is just trade them for scrap metal and use that to craft the polycount weapons(starting with sniper)

I've heard some players use it for point capping and flying melee attacks, but I'm not sure if they're just speculating about potential uses or if they actually find it effective to do that.

I've seen those strats be used. It makes soldier amazing with the pain train.
Hey, The wiki says this is craftable but it doesn't say how, so how do I craft a Cloak and Dagger?
AFAIK there is no specific craft recipe, but you can craft: Scrap Metal + Slot Token PDA(?) + Class Token Spy = Random Spy Watch. At least, I think that's how crafting Spy watches works.

I'm going to have to stop playing Team Fortress 2, my stats no longer save, and if I'm in a game longer than like 15 minutes, I get a connection error and get disconnected from the game.
I don't understand why though, other games are fine, like L4D, etc.

Alas, looks like Walker chose to ignore my email about sounds. Not fair, the L4D frying pan and all the polycount weapons get their own sounds, why can't the lugermorph and big kill? Ah well, time to figure a way of ripping them out of The Devil's Playhouse and inserting them manually as custom sounds.

That's actually a true story, I emailed Walker that just to see if he'd email me back telling me to get stuffed. I wasn't being sarky, just jokey.
I've just finished the training mode for the first time ever. You lot are right! This is a fun game! Made even funner now that I have enough proccessing power to play it without it jumping all over the place! So next saturday... count me in!

Well basically it floated as the engineer. As in when you get it out, it will float there while the engineer is reaching for it. Whenj you refil it, the engineer will reload, but wont be carrying it. It will be floating. For the scout it was completly gone. The scout would act like he is carrying it, and bullets will fly, but thats it, there is no gun. I had to switch to the old pistol for both and am glad that they fixed it. In fact I already switched it back as their secondary weapons.

One of my friends got it as one of the first drops after the update.

You can't craft something into it, but rather craft the Cloak and Dagger into something.

That is how they work.
Ah, reclaimed metal + Cloak and Dagger is what you need. Reclaimed is 3x scrap, or 6 items.
