FULL SEASON for $14.95...

Just recieved this email from Telltale:

"Hey there, Monkey Island Fan!

We hope you enjoyed playing your free episode of Tales of Monkey Island. We'd so love for you to experience the entire five-game season that we'll make this super easy. Just for you, we're offering the FULL SEASON of Tales of Monkey Island for $14.95!"

Does this include the DVD (+P+P I guess)?

    Don't think so.

Yup, you can order the DVD for the cost of shipping. I just ordered the season for $14.95 and the price for the Standard DVD is $0.00. But I won't order the DVD, because shipping and handling would cost me $16.xx. ;-)

Interesting... yeah, I guess it would cost quite a lot to ship to the UK, but just under £10 for the whole season is pretty good.

It's a great offer. Now I'm waiting for a similar offer for Sam & Max Season 2, hehe.

They hooked me up with a free Episode there as well, but I can't remember an offer like this. Keep 'em coming, I say. :D

That's a really good offer! Telltale are awesome to their customers like that.

But it's true that if you take the offer and buy the whole season, you are then entitled to the DVD for free (or pay a bit extra for the deluxe version).

It doesn't include shipping though. And you're right; shipping to the UK does cost quite a lot!

I hope this generosity is due to a well-coordinated PR effort to raise awareness of how awesome Telltale is -- and not because they're hurting for cash.

Oh, right. If you own the season the DVD is free....duh...what's wrong with me lately...

This is why I didn't pre-order Sam and Max 3.

Telltale is always coming out with insane bargains.

Sometimes I feel guilty for taking advantage of such great deals all the time (I think I acquired all 4 episodes of W&G completely for free through bonus deals). So much so that I feel obligated to actually PAY for something substantial once in a while lol.

I once felt so guilty, I actually donated over $20 to Child's Play Charity.

In return though, I got this. Way to make me feel even more guilty.

Dude, that video takes forver (2:33) to get to point and you're constantly saying errrrrr. How annoying! :D

Yeah, strange enough I ordered the Sam & Max Season 1 DVD back in the 'good old days' for only $9,95 shipping costs. Almost $17 is just too much..

It is a more average price for international shipping, though. At least to Canada...basically I think we were spoiled when TTG had the old shipping costs.

This is exactly why I own two seasons of W&G.

Aw, I went to double-check my email (I sometimes miss stuff and mark whole batches as read without reading them), but it seems I didn't get this offer. Was it from the Talk Like a Pirate Day free episode? I have that one, and later bought the whole Telltale Everything Pack on Steam. $26 is too much to buy a game I already own, but $15 would have been just right for the DVD :(
