That's one pointy, pretty regular nose you've got here.

I think he misinterpretated the phrase... "look at my face" :p.

I don't know what's funnier, the fact the cathedral regularly looks like it's engulfed by a giant breast, or that NBC considers "titty" to hot to type :D (Seriously, that's not a word I ever expected to see covered in asterisks.) Also, that painting is simultaneously beautiful and disturbing. Why does that man have no butt?! Did he lose it in the crash?

    I love this one.

Guuuuuuuys, please don't make me write a post about how to understand modern art. I'm kind of tired right now!

Nnngh, well, here's some cartoon boobs... albeit really small cartoon boobs.

EDIT: The artist is Jamie Hewlett, by the way. One of my favorites.

I thought it looked like his work.

Isn't he the guy who did Tank Girl and the Gorillaz?
  • edited April 2010
Actually, that picture ís from the Gorillaz, thats 2D and Noodle if I'm not mistaken.
  • edited April 2010
Now that you mention it, that does look like Plastic Beach. I guess Noodle's hair and mask was the reason I didn't immediately identify it as one of his Gorillaz pieces.

I've had a question for a little while.
Who put the thread "like ranma but with boobs", and what do they mean?

I know ranma 1/2, it's a guy who turns into a girl when dumped in water, which happens much more often than it realistically should. Same with his father becoming a panda.

But if that's the ranma referred to in the tag, then I really have no clue how that relates to this thread at all. Especially the "but with boobs" since ranma has boobs relatively often.

So if anyone could enlighten me...
  • edited April 2010
Well, "like ranma but with boobs" means "like ranma when he is a girl" which, in turn, means "like ranma when he's all wet". Basically, it means that this thread is covered in water. It's pretty simple to understand, I'm kind of surprised you didn't get it straight away.

    Fealiks, stop making stuff up.
  • edited April 2010
Shouldn't that be "like female ranma" or "like ranma with boobs", then? Why the "but"? But is like "except". "Like ranma, except with boobs", insinuate that ranma doesn't have boobs, and yet he (she?) does half the time. So I find it normal to be confused by it, especially since tags have a limited length, so adding a word that's better left out is just... weird.

I dunno if you're being serious or giving a joke explanation, though, since I have no idea what a thread being covered in water would mean anyways >.>

Shut up. I'm not making stuff up. I wrote Wikipedia.

"Covered in water" is a pretty common British expression that basically means "really good." It comes from the expression "Where there's water, there's happiness."

    none of that was true

Then my question still stands. And I need to remember not to believe Fealiks, lest I look stupid.

It is indeed Plastic Beach. That's the real, not-cyborg Noodle, and 2D's behind her.

    you missed this:

and the plastic beach plot, I guess.

    o_O

Obviously I have not been paying as much attention to Gorillaz as I thought I had been. Where was that?
  • edited April 2010
So basically Noodle went missing after the recording of demon days and Murdoc had to go on the run because several people are out to get him (including "the black cloud", some russian pirates, and angry victims of his scam operation) so he flees to this isolated island made of all the plastic accumulating in the ocean. He knocks 2D out and takes him to the island against his will to sing for the new album. Murdoc also created a cyborg Noodle from stray dna samples he happened to have to be a bodyguard as well as the guitarist.

Eventually Russel, filled with rage, swims to "Plastic Beach", but on the way there he swallowed a ton of toxic material that made him grow into a giant.

It's confirmed that Real Noodle is lurking about, but not much else is known about her right now.

Just open the Plastic Beach cd case and it's one of the first images you see.
Plus the whole thing is pretty much explained on the dvd.
Plastic Beach is an island made out of all the trash that people dumped in the ocean, the Gorillaz swim to it, but because of all the junk these strange mutations start occuring.
  • edited April 2010
I see. Well, this would be the first time they've required you to buy the album to get the story, and I have yet to buy the album, having just thrown $70 at Telltale.

Also, this makes the whole Murdoc coming out of the Hell Hole on 6/6/06 thing confusingly irrelevant.

Noooooot exactly. Read the article here, it explains most of it.

Well, not really, if you go to the official website, you can get an idea of what its like. You should listen to the Pirate Radios. They're hilarious.

I ran around Plastic Beach for a while, got stuck, and gave up. Only after your mention of cyborg Noodle did I check the old Gorillaz forums again, find out how to get past where I was stuck, find cyborg Noodle's room (which would've confused me the first time I was on this site a month ago, without you telling me about it first), and promptly get stuck again.

Man, I hope they put together a sequel to Rise of the Ogre...

Might as well post the other two.

Real life boobs? What are you talking about? Boobs are mythical creatures like dragons and eskimos.

For Elaine, the only thing I'd add is to remember the skin of the breast goes under the arm. what I mean is, on her right breast (right for us), the line almost goes up to where her arm starts, I think it would look more natural for it to be lower than that, or point towards her back a bit rather than towards her neck.

She's wearing a shirt. if she was topless or in a bikini or something that's what we'd see, but fully dressed the original picture was accurate enough (for a cartoon).

Which is why I totally want to see her drawn completely topless. And running. From feral monkeys. While pouring lotion all over herself.

So what you're saying is that you want to see a drawing of Elaine topless. Because that's what I just read.

If he's really Donald Duck, I'm sensing a reaction like his display picture coming. ^^

I love this thread. I can click on the last page and see something like that^ completely without context and not even blink an eye at it.
