I am excited for a new CSI game, I have bought every one for PC on day of release but sadly beat every game within 2 days because they are so good, but so short. I would love to play it on Xbox 360 but the price is £39.99 which is insane for a short game like CSI especially when the PC version is £17.99. I dont suppose you could tell us the achievements for the Xbox 360 version? They may make me buy it on 360 but if they are bad like requiring multiple play throughs I will skip the 360 version.

From everything that I've seen (from Googling myself to death - YA!! That IS as dirty as it sounds) I'm pretty positive that although CSI 4 is completed for the PC they aren't going to release it until the Wii version is done so that they can release them simultaneously. Actually, given track records for previous multi-platform releases, it's more likely that the console versions will be released FIRST and then the "pirate heavy" PC version will be released a few weeks later.

what is meant by priate heavy pc version does that mean pc is a priate copy or sumthing and doesnt work as well as console versions ??

No. What he meant by "Pirate heavy" is that PC games in general are easier to "Crack" and soon many pirate copies become available on the internet (These copies are usually buggy and often incomplete). Some publishers release the PC version after the consoles to ensure that customers are able to get a legitimate copy of the game before being tempted by "Free" pirated versions that may not work so well.

Don't worry though, if you buy your copy from a retail store or through our website, you will get a REAL copy, not a pirate copy, and it will work every bit as well as the console versions!

I don't think those dates are right. Sorry. :(

Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed the CSI games to a point, but I am really hoping this next one is going to be much better.

I mean, especially when you play the missions one after the other, they run into each other a bit and are a little repetitive, and I'm not sure I could play a CSI game a second time.

Then there's the tedium of having to go through the entire linear plotline one piece of dialogue at a time - it would be great if you could achieve different outcomes based on decisions the player makes, rather than just getting 'stuck' because you can't find that vital piece of evidence.

Finally, I really, really hope that the villain isn't always the third character you meet this time, that was a really disappointing part of the last game.

Again, don't misunderstand me, I thought the last CSI games were good to play, I'm just hoping some improvements are being made this time, rather than just being '3 Dimensions of Murder part 2'.

Can you pliissss tell us the official release date??
  • edited August 2007
And can u tell me if this game will work on this computor:
    3000ghz
    1064 mb RAM
graphic card:Intel(R) Q965/Q963 Express Chipset Family
    ??
  • edited August 2007
Generally, if your computer can run CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder, it *should* be able to run the new one. However, a main difference is that you need a DVD-Rom drive for this game.

I'll try to find out about that particular graphics chipset, so check back.

The official release date hasn't been announced yet, but we're still targeting a Fall release, so expect it somewhere between September and November.

Fret not, Azza - we've got a great game coming. Our aim was to make the best game we could, and I think our fans will be very pleased with the product. You may want to wait and see what others say about it.

Also, taking a break between cases is always a good idea. Who knows when another CSI game will be out, so you might as well savor it!:)

becaue the release date has not been anounced yet.. and every site keeps thinking they can guess it correctly, unless you see a date on this site, or on the ubisoft site... its wrong
  • edited September 2007
I watched the YouTube trailer for this game, and at the end, it said Fall 2007 but is it a far stretch to guess that this game might be delayed until Jan 2008?

And also, DesignerGreg, how do developers of games know when a title is ready to be released into stores? Like the makers of this game, for example. Do developers just keep testing the games? searching for glitches and eliminating them? And clocking the games to see how long they take to finish (ie, 20 hours, 30 hours etc)?

Nearly all of the Aussie game sites say it'll be out on September 27. Generally when there's a consensus like that it comes from an official source.

But what does that have to do with finding out when the game will be released in UK or N. America?

When we know the release date, we will tell you. Until then, don't trust anything you see online. ;)

The PC version of the game has been done for several months. Right now the work is going into the console versions. Even after we're finished with them, they have to be submitted for approval to Microsoft and Nintendo and go through testing processes there. It can take a while, which is why there has not been a release date officially announced yet. No one wants to announce a date and then have it be wrong.

Ok, and also, as you get more info on this game, such as screenshots, vid clips etc, why dont you update Gamespot and post the new stuff on that site?

Then at some date like october 25th, they announce a 26th release date!
It's a hard job to actually think to yourself 'we have had a game for ready for a month or two and we havn't got it in stores or sent to the console makers company!' Beacuse both games are released the same time, that is what happen most times. They create one version, the others are ports and if needed, ports that are on the wii for instance have better features to make it more worth it being a port to the wii.
For any telltale staff, this isn't an insult about ports.

well here's some from other websites,: http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/945/945161/imgs_1.html
and i would have to say for a 360 game? terrible, 90% of games that come out for the next gen systems include real time lighting, nomral maps and high res bumb maps, but none of these screenshots show this! i'm a hardcore CSI fan and expected the game too look alot better since 3DoM, please any designer..why?

this title doesn`t have much appeal to many gamers, like most of the other titles out this year, this isn`t a shooter or RPG and doen`t have much in terms of graphics (look at the screens and compare to other 360 or pc titles)or epic story that mass effect or even halo has, (which is a shame, cuz the story can be really well devellopped and hope this next title does that) but a point and click adventure thus no attention is payed, only to the hardcore CSI fans.

Or could it be the developers are being secretive about new pics?

doubtful, it`s marketing, you wanna sell your game, you must show something! bad marketing, game vanishes, trust me alot of my friends don`t even know they`re making another CSI game

I think it'll be Ubisoft who are in charge of marketing, seeing as they're the publishers, so it's probably down to them.
