The Search for Updated SOMI:SE Cover Art

I've been searching and searching these forums for more than two hours for a particular edit someone made of the SoMI:SE cover art, but I can't find it.

As far as I can remember, the only change was to Guybrush's hair and face. His hair was similar, but shorter, had a bit of a different droop on the right (his left) side and more strawberry-blond kinda. Also, his face was more serious with his mouth slightly agape kinda like the original Purcell SMI boxart.


I know exactly what art I'm looking for but I can't seem to find it. I know one of you made it... Irishmile maybe.

    Well, I'll be...

    After spending WAY too much time looking for it, I was giving up and did a google image search for Purcell's artwork with secret monkey island purcell.

    And wouldn't you know it, I found exactly what I was looking for on the first page, linked to a blog entry on talesofmi.net, which says it was posted by Parabolee on LucasForums. I never would have checked over there....

    I feel like an idiot for not having googled for it first before anything else.

    Yeah, Parabolee made it during the build-up to SMI:SE. The funny thing is, XBox Live (in the UK at least) used Parabolee's art instead of Lucasarts' original art as the promotional picture for a while :p
