How do I make a game in AGS
Ok, I need help here. I have a Science assignment that's due on Monday PST, and I have decided to make an adventure game that gives sciency info with a friend of mine. Now, I'm really stuck, coz I don't really know a lot about what to do. Can anyone please help?

Ok, here's how to set up a basic room, keep in mind, I'm not great with tutorials!
Open the studio and type a name for the game, etc. Then choose your desired resolution such as 320x200 (used in Monkey Island 1/2) or 640x480 (used in Monkey Island 3).
If you go into the room panel and create a room, then you can import a picture to use as your room background. The picture has to be the same size or bigger than the resolution you've picked (bigger means that the room will scroll).
The areas panel shows that you can draw hotspots (items to interact with), walkable Areas (areas to walk on), walk-behinds (when baselines are inserted, characters will walk behind it) or regions (for altering a character's level of brightness or colour).
Keep in mind that I'm still using AGS 2.72 (I find it easier to use than the newer versions, but it should still be under the same basic rules). Ok, so once we have a background imported, draw a walkable area onto it, this is the area that the character will be allowed to walk around on.
Now to put a character into the scene, save your room as room1 (all rooms are saved in numbers as room__)go to the sprite manager, import a sprite (let's say we copy and paste something from MS Paint as a test). We then go to views, create a new view and use that sprite we just imported into the first frame of the top view (this serves as the character's front normal view, future frames are used as the walking animations). Other loops lower down in the list are used as left, right and backward static views, but let's just focus on this for now.
Ok, now go to the characters tab. Create a new character, give him a name and a script name, then set his normal view to the view number we just created. Then set this character as the player character, make sure his starting room is the room number that we just created, make sure that he is positioned on the co-ordinates of the walkable area that we drew in that room earlier on.
Now we'll save what we've done, go to Test Game, then we can hopefully move the character around the room.
And that's it! The first step to creating the next Monkey Isl....err...your own original adventure game!
Sorry if that was a little hard to understand! I've never done one of these tutorial things before...
