This is sorta random, but one weird thing that I just noticed is that PC users tend to keep most of their icons on the left side of the screen and Mac users keep most icons on the right. I have no idea why this is, especially because I am both a Mac and a PC user and I keep the icons on the right on my Mac and on the left on my PC. I guess it might just be due to factory settings or general accessibility or something, but I just find it a bit weird.
Maybe I'll switch all my icons around and see what happens.:D
maybe its because that's where icons defaultly go?
Yeah, I just tried switching all my icons to the other side of my monitor on my Mac and they wouldn't go to the edge, which was sort of annoying (I attached a screenshot). I'm going to move them back now.
I guess that answered my question. But now I'm curious as to why Apple decided to make the factory settings different from every other computer out there.
basically, i made a devil's playhouse bade and a penal zone and sammun mak badge icon and changed the icons. all the ones on the left side that are telltale titles are just empty folders; because I forgot where the icons are stored and I don't want to lose them, except for the bone games, and the devil's playhouse folder contains tomb of sammun mak, which im hiding in there because I'm not supposed to have it until after exams (ssh!) or my laptop gets taken off of me.
Um, where do you actually dint the pics for the icons, though?
I might clutter up my desktop with text files and downloaded files/installers that I have to clean up when it gets too cluttered, but I don't fill my desktop with game icons. I especially like Windows 7 for how I can make it look.
i like having my game icons right there for me to see. they take up about half the combined amount of icons i have on my desktop, and they used to be all in folders, the ones on the left side of my screen, and even before that those folders were in another, singular folder. but i dont like that, so i changed it and it suits me now.
good idea. my plan right now though, is to play through all the sbcg4ap episodes for the fifth time, but this time i'm recording it with fraps, so i can get cutscene things that I really wanted to be on the dvd.
I put game icons on my desktop only when I'm actively playing them.
Same here, an icon for a game on my desktop means "I'm not done that game yet".
I only play them once before I get the DVD anyways, so then I have the DVD icon that works fine for that.
I'm a big Trek fan (mostly everything that's not the TOS TV series,) but I wouldn't say that I'm obsessed.
I mean, I've seen every episode from TOS at least once, every movie and TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT episode possibly several times, and will watch it if it's on TV (except TOS) but I've never been to a convention, dressed up in any Trek costume, nor joined any local Trek fan club.
hmm... I only have 2 Trek related wallpapers in my stuff though. odd.
I mean the hardcore nuts that speak Klingon fluently and never leave the house without a backup pair of Spock ears.
It's at the point where I'm learning the Na'vi language, getting back into Second Life solely for Avatar RPing, things like that. I've crossed a level of geekdom quite new to me, haha. (I should clarify one thing, though: despite my fascination with the Na'vi, I am *not* in any way a furry.)
If he means Narwhal, I bet you got the Narwhal icon from these forums, Highway. Same as me.
Am I right?
EDIT: Ooh! Sources say yes! (and no)
That is the icon you made yourself, after all. You were the one to post it on here.
So it's the same icon that I got from here.

I understand what you mean. I became a radical Whovian in about two weeks. There are no ears involved in that, but I do have my sonic screwdriver and psychic paper!
yeah, but it keeps taking me to system 32, and i dont wanna mess up any of that stuff!
I just recreated the icons. Here is the link, it contains icons for S&M Season 1, 2 & 3, and just another S&M icon and a devil's playhouse icon, a ToMI icon, a WGGA icon, and 2 sbcg4ap icons.

I think that's just the way it came...unless the icon pixies are at it again...
Or you were that bored, I guess?
btw, what resolution is your desktop?
I played around with the icon size and it just stays the same way. Maybe this is some sort of weird Mac icon? Ehh, who knows.
And yes, I was bored. Besides, finally playing SBCG4AP is on my to-do list, and the first step is actually installing it.
Um, where do you actually dint the pics for the icons, though?
You mean, where did I find them or how did I set them?
No dice. It's on my list, but I'm trying to finish things I've already started before starting new ones.
I mean, where did you find the icon images themselves?

Well, I use it also. So, score.

Basically, the ones for The Devil's Playhouse folder, Tales, Sam and Max Season 1 and 2, and Wallace and Gromit.
Hey, I like those.
Highway, can you upload those in a zip to MediaFire? I want em. They're nice.
Ah, that would be why he didn't list it as an icon he created. As far as I remember.
also, i can't seem to locate the files for the seasons 1 and 3 icons. but ill try

Removed redundant video games (and portal for some reason)
Dude, where'd you get that desktop background?
they are already linked to on the other side of the desktop thats what
Woah! How'd you get that bar with the Telltale Games on it? Is that a Windows 7 only thing?
