Other aspects LeChuck's revenge seemed to be hinting at.
Whenever there is speculation regarding the direction Ron was going to take the series after the second game, it is usually always about the ending. I think though there were other big foreshadows in the game that would be pivotal to Ron's third game that were overlooked.
For instance, I think Ron was defiantly going somewhere with the introduction of the voodoo priest. He was only in one scene, but Ron made have used the scene as a device to simply let the players know of his existence and then use him heavily in the plot of the next game. This could be dead wrong though as Ron said Big Whoop was never meant to be a matter of real importance, hence the name, even though it was the goal of the game.
I think the priest may have been a potential arch villain and may even have been the one advising LeChuck on what to do throughout the years as LeChuck has always been heavily supplied in various voodoo items. I think it would be awesome in the voodoo priest would make a comeback and see just who is under the mask. Having him as an arch villain would be a great plot point for the series and really add something to the overall story. However, I think that would be done best in the hands of Ron, so hopefully Ron gets his chance to make another Monkey Island.
Anyway, little things like that in the game seemed to be a real foreshadow to me. Did anyone else notice plot points, aside from the ending and whole parents’ dance sequence that may have been hinting at something greater?

Although probably not, but at least then it would go along with the hints that Tales left us with. Maybe the Voodoo lady is fighting the Voodoo priest? And Guybrush and LeChuck are mere pawns?
When is Ron going to just write the novel and put all our theories to rest?
Well never, he probably enjoys all the attention.
(Also, love your avatar *thumbs up*)
Fix'd. I mean seriously, I don't want Ron to have the chance to make another Monkey Island game if Tim and Dave aren't involved. If all that's going to happen is that Ron gets to make a game simply to tell the story then I would much rather just have a novel like you said.
Thanks!
Other way around. I'd prefer to see that. Although that might have some serious retcon damage.
Repeat after me: There. Is. Definitely. No. A. In. D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y.
On a more related note, yeah the Voodoo Priest is mysterious and it's quite possible Ron or Tim or Dave had an idea that he would be somebody important to a MI3. Or not!
I kinda get the feeling that "the voodoo lady being behind all of it" was probably one of the ideas that Ron helped throw around at Telltale for Tales.
