Episode 302: Final Showdown Help

Alright, I'm totally stumped. I have absolutely no idea what to do here.

Sammuth is
dangling and being dropped lower as I sit here stumped
and Maximus
tricks Papierwaite and switches position
. Judging by the idle voice I need to
get Maximus the ventriloquist dummy so Papierwaite says the words and ends himself
but I have no idea what to do. All Sammuth can do is sit there and throw cookies, and those don't seem to have an effect on anything.

Check out the torch behind Sam. If you just had something in your inventory to ignite on that torch and use it to set the ropes holding the weights on fire :D

Wow, almost can't believe I missed that. Everything made perfect sense after that.

    Oh whew, lifesaver. Thank you!

I've done all the above and as a result
I've knocked the dummy to the ground
. Now I'm clearly missing something that'll make me slap my head when I find out.

    Hints:
Did anything else happen when the dummy fell?
The nose slots on the tomb opened up for a reason.

    Answer:
Throw cookies in the nose slots.

Think about what happens if you do the first part of the idol routine and it rejects you. It snorts at you and knocks you back! What was the first part of the idol routine again?
Oh, yeah, throwing cookies in the nostrils of the idol!

Thanks guys, i didn't see the slots open because I was distracted and when I looked back they didn't look as if they were open. I really hope I would have got that if I'd been paying attention to the screen....
