There is, but its 13 I believe, so you be good. Reguardless, mods don't follow that rule much as its more for legal issues I believe.

Telltale's Terms Of Use says 18, even 21 for people in some states. I am very much in favor of NOT enforcing this rule, however.

I don't even think telltale themselves enforce the rule since people have openly admitted to being 14 or so and have zero problems.

    Ha ha! My lad.

Maybe one day you will come to appreciate the finer things in life.
(In fact quite soon you might make a heel point turn in another direction. The teens are as the Chinese would call it "interesting times"
EDIT: Or not. Bonus points for guessing where I got that phrase from)

Or not. And thats not such a bad thing. The world needs variety after all! :D

Ooh ooh I know! The great Sir Terry Pratchett...

I read your comments, which then in turn caused me to reminisce, henceforth that is what is on my mind at this moment.

(OH NOSTALGIA!! You are a naughty, naughty minx, now get back in the hottub! Daddy needs some *ahem* fun time).

    Uh... *Runs for it*

    Terry Pratchett?

    Darn it, pipped again...

    Ding! Ding! Ding!

    Thats correct Doc!

Lets see what the lovely lady has won:

It's okay. I'm always happy to share an invisible toaster with a fellow Pratchett fan.

Enforcement of this rule and how to apply it are currently topics of discussion. As Gman said, there's plenty of users under the age of 18 who are perfectly capable of behaving here, and this is something we want to take into consideration. That said, any user will be banned if they can't act maturely, regardless of age.

However, with bending the rule, the rest of us have to stop and think during our debates. We have to stop and ask ourselves, are we dealing with a moron or just a 14 year old kid(not directed at anyone in particular)?

Being fourteen is no excuse, really. I know that I, and the majority of the people here probably, were able to form complete sentences with adequate grammar at age fourteen. Probably even younger.

Pro tip? 40 year olds are no different from 14 year olds. If you haven't learned that you haven't been working long enough.

You know what's on my mind?

How hard it is for me to not hate everything.

My natural inclination is to hate everybody and everyone and everything I encounter.

Seriously how fucked up is that? In the course of my life I realized that how I approached life was miserable. it was reinforcing a miserable outlook. But sometimes I fall right back into the world view, even though I know the path it leads down is awful.

Every day is a battle to not see everyone and everything as my enemy. But I've learned to realize that it's important to give everything and everyone a chance, even though my natural inclination to cut everyone and everything off.

Makes it easier to hate the world.

Just realize most people around you are thinking of themselves and their reputation. Some express themselves better than others. Try to see what's behind their comments and behavior, rather than reacting directly to them. You're an academic, so hopefully this idea is appealing. It makes people more interesting and less targets for hatred.

Simplified version:Sorry about posting what I posted yesterday, I was pissed off, so I took out my anger on someone.

Your constant (and spot on) referencing of 'The Simpsons' also makes for a welcome return.

... Having said that, your disposal of the smoking monkey avatar is, quite frankly, simply unforgivable.

Posting this quote from TV Tropes on Flanderization for Dashing's amusement:

"In the first few Monkey Island games, Guybrush had a tendency to be a bit dim every now and then, but overall proved himself to be a fairly competent adventurer. By the time Escape from Monkey Island happens, it's a wonder he can even put on his own pants, let alone solve any of the game's puzzles."

Hehe I felt I needed a change and being banned gave me the chance to reinvent my icon. Plus its a logo I can use on the coolsome copter or the coolsomemobile with out being slammed for making smoking looking cool to children.

    Ha!

Also, considering the dialog in Escape, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that Elaine wouldn't let Guybrush put his own pants on, lest he fuck it up. I think she does it for him, or at the very least barks orders at him the whole time.

Pfft! That logo didn't make smoking look cool to children, it made smoking monkeys look cool to both children and adults alike; which is a universal truth.

Buy an ebook reader and you can borrow books from said local library without actually visiting it.

Man it is soooooo good to get a Slim and Light PSP.

The original model I had was just EVIL.

    Heavy, bulky, and cramp-inducing.
This one I got today, I have fallen in love with.

Sure the power adapter's cable is insanely short, (seriously its like a metre long. The first model had a generous cable, so the change is just baffling!).

The nub is far better than my old one. God how irritating it was. Gitaroo Man was just pain. Horrible, horrible pain!

Looking forward to my adapter getting here. 64gb PSP is just amazing. :D
