Alma by a former Pixar animator now working in Spain.
Best watched late at night with lights off. Full screen.
Oooh, ooh, are we doing animated short films?! I want a turn!
Here's my personal favorite. It was made for an eventually scrapped Fantasia film after 2000, and then unceremoniously dropped onto the The Little Mermaid DVD due to a very slight connection(both are Disney adaptations of Hans Christian Andersen works). If this is any indication of what "Fantasia 2006" could have been, I weep for its loss.
What? You're surpised I actually WANTED to be outbid, let me give you some context.
The other day I was not sure I wanted to get a PSP.
So I put a bid on a Yinlips that I found on ebay.
It looks like a PSP, but it has a larger screen and android software on it.
But then, on sunday, I went ahead and bought a PSP anyway.
(Which I have already bricked! XD Just need to get my Pandora battery in the post to fix it though, so its not too bad (at least I learned its an old 2000 model because it DIDN'T brick with the CIPL flash, but because I tried to use the custom firmware quick launcher AFTER I removed the custom firmware, (because I wanted to still have access to PSN to buy some stuff) causing it to look for something that didn't exist, thus causing it to crash and brick itself. Since I had the vanilla firmware on it, I can't access the recovery menu custom firmware has, so ergo, I need a pandora battery to reflash it. But at least now I have one on a "just in case" basis in the future.))
So I had a bid on ebay on something I don't really need to buy, (despite its better emulation capabilites, I was planning on using the device as a media player, which the PSP can handle just as well), and fortunately I don't have to worry about it now that I've been outbid. I can peacefully move on to getting more stuff for my PSP.
(Pick up some cheap UMDs from CEX, (Patapon 1+2, Locoroco 1+2, and maybe another 1 or two extra cheap psp games) rip them to the PC, copy them over to the new memory card when it comes. Don't have to fiddle around with discs. Oh, yes! There are legitimate uses for custom firmware you know! XD)
EDIT: Plus I want to disable the start up and game loading thing again.
Just have it come on and play stuff.

Ever have one of those days where you secretly hope someone messes with you on your way home from work because you really feel like punching someone a few times in the face?
...Well not really. I don't need to top my day off with a visit to a police station. Still, that "I dare someone to say something" mentality looms now and then.
If this is any indication of what "Fantasia 2006" could have been, I weep for its loss.
Fantasia 2006 definitely looked like it would have been something special. It was going to include the Salvador Dali and Walt Disney collaboration Destino as well.
Scored a date with one of the most beautiful, intelligent women in the city. In all such cases, I feel incredibly privileged.
There are two ways to interpret this statement, and I hope its the "oh I really like this girl! She is the best!" version, and not the status/reputation version...
(Because that would be kind of dickish and vain..)
Despite the genuine fact that I am arrogant and selfish, I grew up an introverted young boy that was totally scared of girls and who well into his early twenties thought a date was the most frightening thing one could experience. I am no longer that boy, but it is still true that I feel, as a man, that to take a woman out is a grand privilege. I may not always be interested in a relationship, but I am always intent on making a woman feel that she is special. In no case do I ever feel it is the privilege of a woman to see me, but I always feel privileged when a woman says yes to letting me take her out.
Made by French-speaking Canadians, this stop-motion film utilizes a frame-by-frame technique in which the eyes of a human being are transplanted onto a stop-motion model, and apparently any less would be jarring. This technique requires the animator to select the right eyeball frame among hundreds of recorded frames and position it, pixel-perfect, onto the claymation figurine in post. It's a technique that had never been done before and to my knowledge has never been replicated since.
The story is dark, and I've heard the ending referred to as "incomprehensible", which by rules of a Pretentious Rumble is higher-scoring.

There have been lots of plans for Destino, including a festival tour and its own home video release with a documentary about how great it is. It finally ended up on the Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 BD/DVD set as a bonus feature, which is a far more fitting place than Little Match Girl got.

I...have never seen a date as a privilege. It seems like a very poor idea to think of people as anything other than other people. If a person dates another person, they either enjoy their company or feel as though they might enjoy their company. I mean, attractive and intelligent people don't go around looking at folks and gonig "Hmm, that lowly fellow over there, he looks as though he could use some charity. I suppose I'll indulge him. Yoo-hoo! Boy! Chop chop!"
It's just patently ridiculous, and I can't see putting a person on a pedestal of any sort as anything but undermining basic respect and an ability to actually get to know a person. I'm surprised constantly by people whose views on women seems to treat them as anything more or less than other people with similar wants and desires.
Whether or not the object is an idol or a dispensable fancy, I don't see how a person can really connect with another if they see them as an object.

TAKE THAT.
Challenge accepted. I present in response, Vaesen. Hand drawn, and as the creator calls it, "the Hobbit on drugs". Gorgeous, but does contain some brief animated nudity.

Oh hey, I watched this on Cartoon Brew a month ago.
(Also, people who care about animation should read Cartoon Brew)
In terms of student films posted to Cartoon Brew in the past month or so, I prefer "For the Remainder", an abstract watercolor/sketch-style short about the final moments of a housecat's life. HA.
i've managed to fit back into a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear since high school. the not being at job corps diet is going pretty well.
well before I went in I was eating a diet mainly full of dairy, fatty meats, and veg. i was actually losing pretty good weight doing this and feeling healthier than i ever had. apparently that wasn't good for my heart despite the fact that my blood pressure was perfect and had no health abnormalities during the entrance physical. so they put me on this diet that was low salt (no salt) and fat full of starches as far as the eyes can see and uneatable veg and in a month my blood pressure sky rocketed and they had to put me on medication.
i unno, something you put in your mouth or somethin
my diet now is pretty much eat what i think is delicious until im full then stop eating. also avoid drinking calories and eating sweets only on occasion. i put a honest evaluation of what i usually eat a day into a calculator and apparently i eat about 2000 calories a day and burn 3000 for just going to work, working, and coming home. idk
Nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, dip it on mash potatoes! Nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, dip it in barbecue sauce! Nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, nugget in a biscuit, dip it on mashed potatoes!

If a stranger with just about zero profile information added you on Google+ just now, it was either me or some weirdo who wants your credit card details AND your kidneys.

Zelda cannon?
*experiences flashbacks*
Ghhh...hhhh...HMMMM!
(must resist!)
m-m-m-m-mah... My opinion on the matter is that the CDI g-g-g-games are only played by true warri-, true Zelda fans, BECAUSE its so crappy.
If you can't have a laugh about crappy games then you might as well be trapped inside a mirror!

I had one of these. Violates every law of nature and design.
Should get it out and smash it with a hammer.

Do you still lick the Spoon?:
I've thought one of DAISHI's backgrounds is a pretty good monument to ∏.
Maybe none of us got to visit that, but I hope everyone had a good ∏ Day regardless!
Haha! I didn't even think about the images like that! Nice.
