What kind of protection does Al Emmo have?

Seeing it's developed with AGS, I'm just interested to know how the copy protection works on it, or if it has a copy protection at all?

If not, would future 3rd party games have some sort of mechanism inside the exe file or something? Or is it all up to the developer to work that stuff out?

Our version of Al Emmo (and all our third party games) are protected with the same activation system we use. Beyond that, it's up to the developer to protect the game however they want to (and I don't think Al Emmo has any sort of copy protection).

That answered my question. However, I have another one:

How would that work, really? Is the activation system some kind of front-end to the game or is it put into the exe file? Knowing that it's developed with AGS, I think it would be rather interesting for me to know! :)

errr... I hope you`re planning on making it harder to hack, rather than hacking the game. lol
