A crazy yet fair TOMI question

So, I bought TOMI for PC a while ago played a bit (enjoyed it) but never finished it.

Now I see PS3 has TOMI, which I use far more than PC for gaming.

Question is TOMI can be bought one and then downloaded to PC/MAC essentially a cross-platform purchase.

Now the new ads show PC/MAC/PSN on the list of compatible platforms.

Is there anyway to get TOMI for PSN if you can validate a real purchase previously or, at the very least, a discount if you want to buy it again?

The PSN store is an entirely separate entity from Telltale, so something like that would be pretty difficult for the two companies to coordinate, so unfortunately the only cross-platform purchase option available is to purchase from Telltale and get both PC and Mac versions. If you want both PC and PS3 versions, you have to buy it twice. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

    That's what I thought.

That being said in an era where people pirate the "pay what you want" it's probably a counter weight to buy a game twice.

I'll probably buy it again in that case.

Yeah, it's pretty sad, but the overinflated sense of entitlement in the gamer community is pretty ridiculous. Sometimes it does feel good to give back in ways like that.

I've bought every port of every TTG game.

I'm also an idiot that is bad at managing his money. :p

I've always thought you were crazy for that, but at the same time part of me finds it awesome.
Most of me wonders if you still have enough to eat, though.

I do not understand why this question comes up so much.... Its like assuming if you buy a movie ticket you get the DVD for free.

I do really like the concept of "buy it for one, buy it for all." It's interesting that Steam has been striking up a lot of deals with PSN for their port of Portal 2. I'm wondering if this is signalling a bit of a sea-change for cross platform development. That relationship is going to be really interesting for all of us to watch.

Augh, I just looked up Steamworks on Wikipedia. As you can see, I did not get the article I was looking for.

Would there still be a way to buy them all separately? Gotta think about poor Pale Man after all.

I do like paying $100+ for the same game with slightly different controls. :D

Or with the exact same controls. I mean, you buy the Telltale version AND the Steam version. Don't tell me you do that because they're "different" >.>

Well, I've never bought the Steam versions of their games ... yet.

I was considering rebuying TDP for the special TF2 items, but then they gave it to us for free, so I didn't have to. :)

Oh okay. See, when you said you bought the all, I assumed you bought them purely to send your money Telltale's way, and therefore bought the Steam one as well.
I mean, I thought you bought the retail version of games you already had, and they don't have anything more, do they?

    I guess I was wrong.

I do buy the retail versions, because they come with a different case. And in the case of Wallace and Gromit, no online activation.

There is something nice about being able to play it in different ways. With Sam and Max S3 I'm getting review copies, but I'm also buying the PS3 version, which means when it finally comes out I can replay from the comfort of sitting in front of my TV. I'm not sure I'd want to pay twice though, so cross-platform purchases are definitely something I'd be all-for.
