Help with telltale policies on re-downloading items (MI5 related)

Okay, I bought Monkey Island 5 not long ago, and it doesn't work (I get the 'could not initialze Direct3D error message) ..

I've looked about the internet and pretty much come to find that this errror basically means your PC is too old and sucks too much to play the game..

I have a few other PC's in this house, but could I re-download it too them without paying again, by using my account as verification or whatever ?

Thanks in advance for any help

Dan

yes, There is a limit to how many times you can activate the game (20 I think), but no limit to how many times you download it

Yes you can. There is a limit to the amount of downloads you can have but it's a pretty high number. I'm not sure what it actually is though.

Also if you ever run out of download #s just let us know. The activation limit is there mostly so people don't post a username/password on a forum, or share it amongst a huge amount of friends. We try to watch specifically for a few signs which show abuse, but that's the main goal there -- we don't care how you play our games as long as you own them. Bringing it over to your friends house or whatever is fine, too. It's the mass-sharing-which-becomes-just-pirating-it that is an issue.

Might I suggest keeping the installers around this time, if you didn't?

I didn't know there was a download limit but yes, there is an activation limit that is quite high. My PC's hard drive died recently and so I'm having to reinstall every program I own onto a new one (not TOMI though - I'm going to wait for the DVD to arrive and will install it from there!). I've re-activated a couple of Telltale games though and have had no issues so far.

But the customer services is very good here, so like Jake said if it does turn out to be a problem things will get sorted out. Basically you have nothing to worry about. :)

I would think that such a message means you need to update your version of DirectX.
