More bugs in boxes

I thought I'd found the solution to the problem, but my solution was rejected. The solution I used was this one:

The game told me to remember that each type of bug needed a sufficient number of spaces, but the solution doesn't contradict that, as far as I can tell. Am I just using too many boxes?

Never mind, solved it. >_> Woe, want to buy delete thread function! (And there probably is one that I just can't find, isn't there.)

Could you post a screenshot of how you solved it? I'm stuck there too...

EDIT: Nevermind, I solved it too.

then please post a screenshot for everyone else who might be stuck. I'm comletely stumped on Super Bugs In Boxes now.

I tried to use the same one at first.

To do Super Bugs in Boxes, note that there are several spaces that MUST be part of a particular bug's territory because no other bug can "reach" them.

the third was too easy looking back at it. It was so easy that I just did not get it.

The bug puzzles are pretty silly in my opinion. I tried 2 or 3 solutions on More bugs and Superbugs that should have worked, but they got rejected.

Maybe you had too many boxes? The rules say to make it with the minimum number of boxes.

Boxes are limited to 4 sides, so that's squares & rectangles only.

    Hello, everyone.
I have a trouble with the 3rd optional bugs puzzle. I made this solution:
    whyrejected.th.png
but the game rejects it every time.
Perhaps there is something wrong with it? If it's not too hard, please somebody post the solution that game accepts.

The idea is to use the least amount of boxes possible. You're close with that solution, you just need to get rid of one line.

Thanks a lot. Don't know why I haven't seen it by myself. :)

I had the exact same problem with the OP, and had the exact same solution at first. From my interpretation of the rules, there is nothing that says the solution needs to have the minimum number of boxes. It says boxes have to be made with the least number of sides, which would be 4. This leads to an infinite number of boxes, as long as each has 4 sides and is spacious enough to contain the bugs within.

The rules also do not say anything about boxes being unable to contain more than one type of bug. It says the SAME bug CAN be in the same box, but it does not say that DIFFERENT bugs CANNOT be in the same box. So theoretically, you could draw one big box along the outermost border and solve every possible puzzle this way, since multiple bugs in the same box, no matter how big, is not prohibited.

I know I sound like I'm being technical, but the rules need to be sufficient in order to rule out any unintended solution.
