Monkey Island 2 SE - Removal of Max Costume!
Did anyone else notice in the costume Shop, where there has always been a Max costume, they have replaced it with a Day of the tentacle one.
Also in the Governors Mansion on Phatt Island on of the pictures on the wall is of Manny from Grim Fandango.
Wonder why they changed Max in the new version, to do with rights anyone things?
Also noticed, I'm pretty sure when you get fired from being a chef you say the reason you were out for for a 'smoke break', they changed that in the new version too.
Anyone else notice any changes during the transition?

Also, I thought the reason you left the kitchen changed between playthroughs, but I do know that they changed "white slavers" to "ne'er-do-wells" in the ending, which really, to me, isn't in any poorer taste now than it was 18 years ago.
"Hey, it's Kyle Katarn in a dress" made me laugh so hard when I heard it.
They removed the intro, witch is to me the biggest crime done to a remake ever...
Also when Guybrush presented his "catch" to the fisherman, hu just gave him the fish, instead of faking catching it... (I think it just fish here. "plunk" etc)
Not a removal, but I would like to point out that the person that hired the voice actors for his mom and dad should be shot and skinned for hiring tonedeaf actors for a singing part. It realy burned my ears....
The music was added later. Plus, it may have been an intentional decision on the sound editors part. They're his parents; they aren't meant to awesome singers. For me, who hasn't played the original, the out of synchness was part of the charm.
He fakes catching it (with the "plunk" and everything) if you give him the fish without leaving the screen after taking on the bet.
Yeah, well, most people sing better that that.... also I didn't notice the out of synchness... (I've played the orginal on the Amiga, just to point that out..)
I didn't notice Sam in my first playthrough, I guess LucasArts didn't either.
