Mad Marty Return! Please!

I really want Mad Marty (from Lechuck's revenge) to return if they make a new tales of monkey island series. So, who's with me!

No but they need to bring back captain Smirk.

What I love about the Special Editions is that they really bring characters to life. :D The Lookout, Bob, the Men of Low Moral Fiber (Pirates), Mad Marty, the Spitting Contest judge and the Phatt Island dealer are so much more interesting than they were in the originals.

I don't agree with you, in the originals you were given a base and your imagination did the rest, they could always be perfect. Not that I don't like anything about the special edition characters, I just prefer the originals

    Why?

Marty is a bit of a one-joke character. What else can you do with him that wasn't done in MI2?

    Mad Marty... No, thanks.
I'd rather see Governor Phatt as a main villain in a future MI game. He's evil, rich, greedy and probably could get an entire army on his side.
And Smirk should come back. He was really mistreated by Mandrill in EMI and I feel bad for the guy. I hope he made it as a Governor of some remote island - Jambalaya or Spittle or someplace like that.
Oh, and Wally! We totally NEED Wally!

That. After playing MI2 SE I remember how much I am actually in love with that cute little fragile-charactered redhead. And he's taken soo much undeserved abuse... Plus we still don't know what happened to him after we last saw him in LeChuck's torture chamber diorama, do we?

I would love it if the Men of Low Moral Fiber made an appearance in a future game.

I feel sorry and sad for him when you take his monocule!

Also, HE MUST RETURN AS WELL! Why not Mad Marty?

Actually, yes! I agree with this, that guy was a cool character, despite being a little cliche. He's tough, he's charismatic and he's a skilled swordsman. I think it'd be pretty cool if he was one of Guybrush's crew members in a future game, perhaps along with Carla, if she were mad enough to join Guybrush's crew for a third time.

    His what? :D

Anyways, as said before, Wally really had a function in MI2, he was the one who helped Guybrush with the map to Dinky Island and then he involuntarily joins him (or vice versa) in LeChuck's torture chamber. Even that didn't really make a reappearance necessary in CMI, but given that he's a cartographer and maps play a significant role in the world of Monkey Island, I see a chance to squeeze him in somewhere in the course of a new adventure of Guybrush.

I don't see any further "use" for Mad Marty.

Oh yeah! If that's the case, why not turn off your computer, sit in a corner and you can IMAGINE away! That would be MUCH better than playing some silly old computer game!

    Monocle.

Anyway, on this topic, I don't think we need to see Wally again. He's run his course in the Monkey Island series and I don't think that we need to see him again. He was good in 'LeChuck's Revenge' and 'Curse', but he doesn't need to be in any more games, his characteristics, traits and personality will eventually get old and stale if he's brought back too many times.

Would have been funny if there was a Wally tombstone in Pirate God.

Don't know about him, but the Men of low moral fiber (pirates) should make a cameo appearance in a future ToMI episode.
