Question About MI2:SE

I played MI2:SE, and for the most part, it seemed to work perfectly. However, I observed one thing that may be an issue. The game starts with Guybrush about to tell Elaine about why he is in the predicament he's in, but instead of it playing the opening credits, like in the original game, it just starts the game showing Scabb Island. Is it supposed to be this way?

Well, it's no supposed to be that way - but it is. Lucas Arts cut the intro, don't ask me why.

It's sad, cause the opening credits had so much amtosphere. :(

But they're fully in there, right? So what ever reason could there be not to show them?
