How much do *you* support Monkey Island?

Just curious how many copied of the new Monkey Island games you guys have bought. (SEs+ToMI)

I have the SEs on 2 systems each and ToMI on PC plus a gift of MI1 and 2:SE I bought for my girlfriend. So 7 total.

How many have you guys bought?

I bought TOMI for myself (got Deluxe Edition) and one copy for my brother (got him standard edition).
I bought SOMI: SE on Steam when it first came out, from Telltale once they started selling it and from Aspyr, once I realized that was my best option to play it on my Mac.
I bought LCR: SE on Steam and gave the free SOMI: SE to my brother.
So, that's 6 times so far (the free SOMI: SE doesn't count).
I expect I'll buy LCR: SE from Telltale (should they ever sell it) and one more time when the Mac version is available.
I might also buy it for my brother if he finally decides to start playing all those games I buy him! ;)

yeah I will probably buy ToMI for my girlfriend if she likes the first two I got her. Anything for the cause!

I've spent a lot of money on Monkey Island games but the majority of it to private sellers.

I would have said all monkey island games, but I felt like that would push more people into the 10+ range, which wouldn't have told me much. I would have said how many dollars spent, but some people don't like divulging that type of info...

2 people bought more than 10 copies of the new monkey island games? Do we have distributors on here or what? :p

    3 games, 3 systems each, (some 4) + gifts.
I know a couple people bought 4 or 5 as gifts last christmas.

Why would I buy 3 games of a kind if TTG cleary says that you may install the game on more than one system without purchasing it multiple times? Am I getting something wrong?

At the moment, I feel that I would buy any game with a Monkey Island logo on it!
I bought both SEs and ToMI as soon as they were available. :)

Now I hope since Ron Gilbert has left Hothead, he's going to work on a new MI-game and finally gets his chance to tell the real secret of MI.

Where is the pre-order button? :D

I bought exactly one copy of each game.
As awesome as Monkey Island is, I don't see the point in buying the same thing (in the same version) several times.

It's kind of like an investment in the future of the franchise.

We don't have it anymore, but we had bought Secret of Monkey Island when it first came out. My parents have since given it away. They are not yet forgiven. We also got Lechucks Revenge, Curse, Escape, and Tales (wii) when they came out. Add on the two special editions recently released and another copy of Tales (PC) and that makes 8 for me! I want more.

EDIT: Darn. Forgot that I got the SoMI:SE through Telltale's website as well. This means I voted wrong. Take one from 8 and add one to 9. Sorry. When Telltale release Lechucks Revenge on their website I'll get that too! Still want more though...

    Everything helps :D
16 people buying one is the same as the two that bought 8.
Also, you are supporting TTG, which is doing some of the best game development this side of Bioware. I am working my way through the TTG shop right now. I am 120 bucks away from making a clean sweep of the games.

The question is how many copies of the NEW Monkey Island games have you bought. That means SOMI: SE, MI2:LR SE, and TOMI. Not every Monkey Island game you have ever bought. This poll is out of control and completely unbalanced now.

I bought six... well, about to buy my sixth and most likely my seventh in the near future if it goes on sale. I bought Secret SE on X360 and PC, then I bought MI2 SE on PS3 and PC, and I also bought TOMI on PC when the first episode arrived. My sixth and seventh copy will be Secret SE and TOMI on PS3, just so I can have all of them on one system (other than the PC).

It is also an internet poll, I kinda let it go a while ago. If there is a less scientific way of gathering information, I would love to hear it. Though it is kinda cool hearing about people's collections.

We know what the poll is asking, we are just slightly derailing the thread portion in a more awesome direction.

Wouldn't buy Tales again for nothing in this world

Would you buy it if they did a Special Edition that included Giant Monkey Robots and a plot that ignores the other Monkey Island games? :D

I have no need to buy each one more than once when it's digital. I bought both SEs through Steam and Tales through TT with the Deluxe Edition. If Tales or the Special Editions came out for DS or PSP I'd definitely buy them again.

I bought the first two episodes of TMI on Wiiware, then bought the whole series on PC, just before the release of chapter four (2 days i think).

But if i had an iphone, or if i eventually do, or if they are ever released on the 3DS, i shall be buying copies of the monkey Island SE's on them, aswell as on steam.

    Tales of MONKEY KOMBAT!!
An epic five part saga starting with Launch of the Screaming Narwhal!

*cuts to Flotsam Island with a Giant Monkey Robot next to the Screaming Narwhal*

    Robot: ACK OOK CHEE NARWHAL!
Winslow: I'm afraid if you want to be the captain sir, then you'll have to knock...

I've got one copy of the original Secret CD-ROM, one Monkey Madness CD-ROM with MI 1 & 2, Curse boxed and Escape boxed, for the original games.

Also have TOMI on PC, MI1SE and 2SE on PC, and MI2SE on iPod touch.

Plus that extra copy of 1SE I've yet to gift from my Steam preorder...
