Stuck at Boscotech (Seance & destabilizer)

Please help.

I need to bring the spirit back and then use the destabilizer. I know I'm supposed to
talk to Harry about his uncle
but he just
says the memories are too fresh
. Mindreading
him just makes him mention Superball
.

Also, I have the instructions
from Norrington
to use the destab, but when I click on the device, Sam just wonders if he ever learns how to use it. Is the control panel to it somewhere else that I'm just too blind to see?

What am I missing?

    All you need to do before the seance is have the ventriloquism toy. If you're really stuck:
    Speak to Harry in the seance
    Use ventriloquism on the picture
    Mind read Harry in the seance
    Use ventriloquism on the picture again

    Yeah as detailed above you bang the gong to start seance
    Mind read harry = uncle mort's name
    Talk to harry = uncle mort picture
    Speak via picture = wants to know secret
    Mind read harry = know secret
    speak via picture = win
